Aaron Zigman has composed the music for the upcoming action comedy Mr. Right. The film is directed by Paco Cabezas (Rage, Neon Flesh) and stars Sam Rockwell, Anna Kendrick, Tim Roth, James Ransone, Anson Mount, Michael Eklund and RZA. The movie follows a woman who has had bad luck finding love until she meets Mr. Right, who turns out to be a reformed hit man. Max Landis (Chronicle, American Ultra, Victor Frankenstein) has written the screenplay. Bradley Gallo & Michael Helfant (The Call), Lawrence Mattis (Hellbenders) and Rick Jacobs (Spare Parts) are producing the project.

Aaron Zigman Scoring ‘I Saw the Light’
Aaron Zigman is currently scoring the upcoming biographical drama I Saw the Light. The film is directed by Marc Abraham (producer of Children of Men, Dawn of the Dead and The Family Man) and stars Tom Hiddleston, Elizabeth Olsen, Bradley Whitford, David Krumholtz, Wrenn Schmidt, Josh Pais, Maddie Hasson and James DuMont. The movie tells the story of country music singer Hank Williams’ rise to fame and sudden death at the age of 29. Abraham has also written the screenplay based on the 1994 book Hank Williams: The Biography by Colin Escott, George Merritt and William MacEwen. Aaron L. Gilbert (A Single Shot, Welcome to Me) is producing the RatPac Entertainment, Bron Studios and Creative Wealth Media Finance production with Abraham, Brett Ratner (Rush Hour, X-Men: The Last Stand, Tower Heist) and music supervisor G. Marq Roswell.

Expected to top the weekend box office is the action war drama Fury written and directed by David Ayer and starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Michael Peña, Jon Bernthal, Jason Isaacs and Scott Eastwood. The film’s original music is composed by Steven Price (Gravity, Attack the Block, The World’s End). Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this week. Opening in most theaters is the family comedy Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day directed by Miguel Arteta and starring Steve Carell, Jennifer Garner, Dylan Minnette, Ed Oxenbould, Kerris Dorsey, Megan Mullally, Jennifer Coolidge and Bella Thorne. The film’s original music is composed by Christophe Beck (Frozen, Edge of Tomorrow, The Hangover). ‘The Best of Me’ Score Album Announced
Sony Classical will release a score album for the romantic drama The Best of Me. The album features the film’s original music composed by Aaron Zigman (The Notebook, John Q, The Bridge to Teribithia). The soundtrack will be released on October 14, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. As previously reported, EMI Nashville & Relativity Music will release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the film. The Best of Me is directed by Michael Hoffman and stars James Marsden, Michelle Monaghan, Luke Bracey, Liana Liberato, Sebastian Arcelus and Gerald McRaney. The movie based on the bestselling novel by Nicholas Sparks follows two former high school sweethearts who find themselves reunited after 20 years apart, when they return to their small town for the funeral of the beloved friend.
‘Addicted’ Soundtrack Details
Varese Sarabande has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the thriller Addicted. The album features the film’s original music composed by Aaron Zigman (The Notebook, John Q, The Bridge to Teribithia, The Proposal). The soundtrack will be released physically on October 21, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Addicted is directed by Bille Woodruff (Honey) and stars Sharon Leal, Boris Kodjoe, Tasha Smith, Tyson Beckford, Emayatzy Corinealdi, Kat Graham and William Levy. The movie based on the best-selling novel by Zane and follows a successful business woman with three kids who finds herself satisfying her addiction to sex by sleeping with other men. The thriller will be released in theaters on October 10, 2014 by Lionsgate.
Aaron Zigman to Score ‘The Best of Me’
Aaron Zigman has signed on to score the upcoming romantic drama The Best of Me. The film is directed by Michael Hoffman and stars James Marsden, Michelle Monaghan, Luke Bracey, Liana Liberato, Sebastian Arcelus and Gerald McRaney. The movie is based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks and follows a pair of former high school sweethearts who reunite after many years when they both return to their small North Carolina hometown. Hoffman has also written the screenplay with J. Mills Goodloe (Pride) and Will Fetters (The Lucky One, Remember Me). Sparks is also producing the project with Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter, Dear John, Limitless), Theresa Park, Denise DiNovi (Edward Scissorhands, Batman Returns, Crazy, Stupid, Love) and Alison Greenspan (Monte Carlo, Ramona and Beezus). Zigman has previously scored the Sparks adaptation The Notebook.

Christina Welsh and Bernie Barbarash have written the screenplay. Paul Hall (Higher Learning) is producing the project. Zigman has previously scored numerous features produced by Hall, including Pride, For Colored Girls, Good Deeds and Peeples.

Aaron Zigman (Bridge to Tarabithia, The Proposal) who previously collaborated with the directors on such movies as John Q, The Notebook and My Sister’s Keeper has composed the film’s original score. Expected to top the weekend box office is the animated film sequel Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 directed by Cody Cameron & Kris Pearn and featuring the voices of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan, Will Forte, Andy Samberg, Benjamin Bratt, Neil Patrick Harris, Terry Crews and Kristen Schaal. Mark Mothersbaugh who has previously scored the original 2009 film, as well as Hotel Transylvania for Sony Pictures Animation has composed the movie’s score. Also opening wide is the indie comedy Don Jon written and directed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt and starring himself, as well as Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Brie Larson and Tony Danza.
