Premiering tomorrow, October 25, is the new CW drama 4400 developed by Ariana Jackson based on USA’s TV series The 4400 and starring Brittany Adebumola, Joseph David-Jones, TL Thompson, Ireon Roach, Jaye Ladymore, Khailah Johnson, Derrick A. King, Cory Jeacoma, AMARR and Autumn Best. The show’s original music is composed by Jongnic Bontemps (United Skates, My Name Is Pauli Murray, The Land, We Are: The Brooklyn Saints, College Behind Bars, The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel). Check out our previous news article to learn more about the sci-fi series, which will air every Monday night on The CW.

Premiering on Thursday, October 28, is the Paramount+ animated series Star Trek: Prodigy developed by Kevin & Dan Hageman and starring Rylee Alazraqui, Brett Gray, Angus Imrie, Jason Mantzoukas, Ella Purnell and Dee Bradley Baker. Nami Melumad (An American Pickle, Absentia, Miss Arizona) is composing the show’s original score and Michael Giacchino (Up, Lost, Jurassic World, The Incredibles, Inside Out, Ratatouille, Spider-Man: Homecoming) has contributed the main title theme. ‘Knocking’ (‘Knackningar’) Soundtrack Released

The album features the film’s original music composed by Martin Dirkov (Shorta, Border, Shelley, The Charmer, Holiday). Knocking is directed by Frida Kempff and stars Cecilia Milocco, Albin Grenholm, Alexander Salzberger, Krister Kern and Ville Virtanen. The movie follows a woman who moves into a new apartment to begin her path to recovery after suffering a traumatic incident, when a series of persistent knocks and screams begin to wake her up at night and no one else in the building believes or is willing to help her. Daniel Pemberton Named Film Composer of the Year at 2021 World Soundtrack Awards

Daniel Pemberton was named Film Composer of the Year at the 21st World Soundtrack Awards, tonight’s closing event of the 48th Ghent Film Festival, for his scores for Aaron Sorkins’ The Trial of the Chicago 7, Harry Bradbeer’s Enola Holmes and the documentary Rising Phoenix. He previously received his first World Soundtrack Award in the Discovery of the Year category back in 2014. Carlos Rafael Rivera was honored as TV Composer of the Year today for his score for the Netflix limited series The Queen’s Gambit (for which he recently received his second Emmy Award) and HBO’s Hacks. ‘Britannia’ Season 3 Soundtrack Album Released

SATV has released a new soundtrack album for the Sky original drama Britannia. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s third season composed by Neil Davidge (Unleashed, Push, Halo 4, Earth Moods, Monsters: Dark Continent, Hard Sun, Good People). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. The label has previously released the composer’s music from the second season while 7Hz Productions has released his score from the first season. Britannia is created by Jez Butterworth, Tom Butterworth & James Richardson and stars David Morrissey, Zoë Wanamaker, Nikolaj Lie Kaas Eleanor Worthington-Cox, Hugo Speer, Mackenzie Crook, Daniel Caltagirone, Zaqi Ismail, Sophie Okonedo, Annabel Scholey and Julian Rhind-Tutt. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the sci-fi epic Dune directed by Denis Villeneuve and starring starring Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Stellan Skarsgård, Josh Brolin, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista and Javier Bardem. The album features the film’s original music composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar, The Lion King, Blade Runner 2049). WaterTower Music has released three soundtrack albums, including the composer’s score from the movie (click here for the full album details), The Dune Sketchbook (click here for more information) and the companion book music for The Art and Soul of Dune (click here for the full details). The film is now also available to stream on HBO Max.

Also opening nationwide is the animated feature Ron’s Gone Wrong directed by Sarah Smith & Jean-Philippe Vine and starring Zach Galifianakis, Jack Dylan Grazer, Justice Smith, Olivia Colman, Ed Helms,  Ricardo Hurtado, Rob Delaney, Kylie Cantrall, Marcus Scribner and Thomas Barbusca. Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Wreck-It-Ralph, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, X-Men: First Class,  Big Hero 6, Pokemon: Detective Pikachu) has composed the film’s original score. Daniel Dombrowsky (Hustle & Tow, Ink & Steel) has released a soundtrack album for the comedic crime thriller The Estate. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. The Estate is directed by James Kapner and stars Eliza Coupe, Greg Finley, Chris Baker,  Heather Matarazzo, Eric Roberts and Lala Kent. The movie follows a narcissistic son yearning for a life of luxury, and his father’s erratic gold-digging wife who decide to kill their way into their inheritance and employ the help of a mysterious hitman, initiating a psychosexual love triangle. MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the Danish drama The Shadow in My Eye (Skyggen i mit øje). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, A Quiet Place, Scream, The Wolverine, Ford v. Ferrari, Hellboy), Ceiri Torjussen (The Canal, Jack Goes Home, All Creatures Here Below) & Buck Sanders (The Hurt Locker, Warm Bodies). The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, October 29 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Shadow in My Eye is written and directed by Ole Bornedal and stars Danica Curcic, Alex Høgh Andersen, Fanny Bornedal and Mads Riisom. Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have released the first two tracks from the original score from Marvel Studios’ Eternals. Available to stream download now is the Eternals Theme and Across the Oceans of Time written by the film’s composer Ramin Djawadi (Games of Thrones, Westworld, Clash of the Titans, Iron Man, Pacific Rim, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, A Wrinkle in Time).
