Already playing in select theaters since this past Wednesday, December 29, is the drama Jockey co-written and directed by Clint Bentley and starring Clifton Collins Jr., Molly Parker, Moises Arias, Logan Cormier, Colleen Hartnett. The film’s original music is composed by The National’s Bryce Dessner (The Two Popes, The Kitchen) & Aaron Dessner (Cyrano, C’mon C’mon). No soundtrack album has been announced yet. Check out our scoring assignment announcement to learn more about the movie, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and is being distributed by Sony Pictures Classics.

Opening at New York’s Paris Theatre today before coming out in more theaters in early January and before premiering on Netflix on January 21, is the spy thriller Munich: The Edge of War directed by Christian Schwochow and starring George MacKay, Jeremy Irons, Jannis Niehwöhner, Sandra Hüller, August Diehl, Liv Lisa Fries, Erin Doherty and Martin Wuttke. Isobel Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Emma, Vanity Fair, Vita & Virginia, The Split, The ABC Murders)  has composed the film’s original music. No word yet on a soundtrack release. George Fenton Scoring Richard Eyre’s ‘Allelujah’

Composer George Fenton (Dangerous Liaisons, Groundhog Day, The Blue Planet, Anna and the King, Hitch) is reuniting with director Richard Eyre (Notes on a Scandal, Iris) on the upcoming British comedy drama Allelujah. The film is based on the stage play of the same name by Alan Bennett and stars Jennifer Saunders, Judi Dench, Derek Jacobi, Bally Gill, Russell Tovey and David Bradley. The movie is set on a geriatric ward in Yorkshire that is on the verge of closure and and follows the hospital’s attempts to fight back by inviting a news crew to film their preparations for a concert in honor of the place’s most distinguished nurse. ‘Best Sellers’ Soundtrack Album Released

Rage Music has released a soundtrack album for the comedy drama Best Sellers. The album features the film’s original music composed by Paul Leonard Morgan (Limitless, Dredd, Dynasty, Tales from the Loop, Wormwood, Walking with Dinosaurs 3D). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. Best Sellers is directed by Lina Roessler and stars Aubrey Plaza, Michael Caine, Scott Speedman and Ellen Wong. The movie follows an ambitious editor who goes on a book tour with a bitter, booze-addled author who put the publishing house on the map decades ago in a last-ditch effort to save the boutique publishing house her father has left her. Samuel Sim (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Spanish Princess, Domina, The Long Call, The Halcyon, Home Fires) has composed the original score for the new ITV series Anne. The show is written by Kevin Sampson and stars Maxine Peake, Stephen Walters, Steve Williams, Lily Shepherd, Bobby Schofield and Clare Calbraith. The 4-part drama directed by Bruce Goodison tells the true story of Anne Williams who dedicated her life to campaigning for justice following the death of her son who was tragically killed at the FA Cup semi-final in 1989 between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest. Nathan Halpern (The Rider, Swallow, Minding the Gap, One Percent More Humid, In the Same Breath, Rich Hill) has recently scored the upcoming psychological thriller Watcher. The film is directed by Chloe Okuno and stars Maika Monroe, Karl Glusman and Ciubuciu Bogdan Alexandru. The movie follows a young woman who moves into a new apartment in Bucharest with her husband and starts being tormented by the feeling that she is being stalked by an unseen watcher in an adjacent building. The show is created by Miranda Kwok based on the Argentine series La Chica Que Limpia and stars Élodie Yung, Adan Canto, Martha Millan, Oliver Hudson, Sebastien & Valentino LaSalle, Faith Bryant and Sean Le. The series revolves around a whip-smart Cambodian doctor who comes to the U.S. for medical treatment to save her ailing son, but instead becomes a cleaning lady for organized crime, using her cunning and intelligence to forge her own path in the criminal underworld. ‘Emily in Paris’ Soundtrack Album Details

The full details of the first soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Emily in Paris have been revealed. The album features the songs from the second season performed by Ashley Park (who stars as Mindy Chen), including the original song Mon Soleil, which has previously been released as a digital single, as well as tracks by The Math Club, L’Epee, Yndi, Kumisolo, PLUM & Fred Nevche. Also included is the main title theme James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, King Kong, The Sixth Sense, Maleficent), as well as selections of the comedy’s original score by Chris Alan Lee (Younger, Heathers). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 31 by Milan Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music stores. Gaumont has released a soundtrack album for the French family drama Vicky and Her Mistery (Mystère). The album features the film’s original score composed by Armand Amar (The Concert, The Source, Mia and the White Lion, A Bag of Marbles, The Wolf and the Lion, The History of Love, Belle & Sebastian), as well as additional music by Anne-Sophie Versnaeyen . The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. Vicky and Her Mistery is directed by Denis Imbert and stars Vincent Elbaz, Shanna Keil, Marie Gillain, Éric Elmosnino and Tchéky Karyo. The movie tells the story of a widowed father who moves to the mountains with his daughter who is heartbroken by her mother’s death and has stopped talking, when she discovers a puppy and decides to secretly keep it, not realizing it’s a wolf cub. Jongnic Bontemps (My Name Is Pauli Murray, United Skates, We Are: The Brooklyn Saints, The Land, The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel) and Raashi Kulkarni have teamed up to score the upcoming Netflix original film Wedding Season. The movie is directed by Tom Dey (Shanghai Noon, Failure to Launch) and stars Suraj Sharma, Pallavi Sharda, Rizwan Manji, Sean Kleiner and Ari Asfar. The romantic comedy follows two Indian-Americans who pretend to date in order to survive a summer of weddings, but find themselves falling for each other as they struggle to balance who they are with who their parents want them to be.
