Christine Aufderhaar has released a soundtrack album for the animated documentary Aurora’s Sunrise. The album features the composer’s original score from the film performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and is now available to stream/download on Apple Music/iTunes and most other major digital music services. Aurora’s Sunrise is directed by Inna Sahakyan and tells the of Aurora Mardiganian who survived the Armenian genocide as a teenager and later came to Hollywood where she starred in a silent film based on her account of the massacre that killed around one million Armenians. Premiering today is the Netflix limited series The Witcher: Blood Origin created by Declan de Barra & Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and starring Sophia Brown, Laurence O’Fuarain, Michelle Yeoh, Lenny Henry, Mirren Mack, Jacob Collins Levy, Lizzie Annis and Minnie Driver. The show’s original music is composed by Bear McCreary (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, Outlander, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane). Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last week. Also premiering today is the animated special The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse directed by Peter Baynton & Charlie Mackesy and starring Tom Hollander, Idris Elba, Jude Coward Nicol and Gabriel Byrne. MTG Music has released a soundtrack album for the Norwegian historical drama Narvik (Kampen om Narvik). The album features the film’s original music composed by Christine Hals. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Narvik is directed by Erik Skjoldbjærg and stars Carl Martin Eggesbø, Kristine Hartgen, Stig Henrik Hoff and Kari Bremnes. The movie tells the true story of two dramatic months in the spring of 1940, when Norwegian and allied soldiers fought side by side against the Wehrmacht to prevent the Germans from taking control of the iron ore, vital for Hitler’s war machine. The documentary narrated by Jason Momoa follows a mining startup company as it pursues funding, public favor, and permission from the International Seabed Authority to mine wide swaths of the Pacific Ocean floor. Genie Music Corporation has released a soundtrack album for the South Korean Hulu/Disney+ original series Big Bet. The album features the original score from the show’s first season composed by Yoon Il Sang. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Big Bet is directed by Kang Yoon-sung and stars Choi Min-sik, Son Suk-ku and Lee Dong-hwi.
