The track, entitled One Step Closer, is written by Honorary Academy Award winner Diane Warren and performed by Leona Lewis, and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. ‘Wild Isles’ Episode ‘Ocean’ Soundtrack Album Released

Shogun Music has released the fifth soundtrack album for the BBC natural history series Wild Isles. The album features the original music from the show’s fifth and final episode, entitled Ocean, composed by Academy Award nominee George Fenton (The Blue Planet, Groundhog Day, Dangerous Liaisons, Anna and the King, Gandhi, Hitch, You’ve Got Mail). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released the composer’s score from the first four episodes (Our Precious Isles, Woodland, Grassland & Freshwater) over the last couple of weeks. Premiering in the U.S. on Tuesday, April 11, is the British comedy drama Am I Being Unreasonable? created by Daisy May Cooper & Selin Hizli and starring Cooper & Hizli themselves, Lenny Rush, Jessica Hynes, Amanda Wilkin, Dustin Demri-Burns, David Fynn, Juliet Cowan, Ruben Catt and Karla Crome. The show’s original music is composed by Morgan Kibby (Mothering Sunday, The Watcher, The Power, Girls of the Sun, Grand Army, Tales of the Walking Dead). The series, which centers on an obsessive friendship and maternal paranoia, premiered in the UK last year on BBC One and is making its U.S. debut on Hulu.
Premiering on Wednesday, April 12, is the second season of the Freeform original series Single Drunk Female created by Simone Finch and starring Sofia Black-D’Elia, Ally Sheedy, Sasha Compere, Lily Mae Harrington, Ian Gomez and Garrick Bernard. Sony Masterworks will release a soundtrack album for the faith-based drama On a Wing and a Prayer. The album features the film’s original score composed by Brandon Roberts (Underwater, Motherland: Fort Salem, Chaos Walking, Fear Street Part 2: 1978, The Twilight Zone, Unbroken: Path to Redemption). Also included is the song I’ll Fly Away performed by lead actor Dennis Quaid. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 10 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. On a Wing and a Prayer is directed by Sean McNamara and also stars Heather Graham and Jesse Metcalfe. Kevin Kiner to Score Disney+’s ‘Ahsoka’

Writer/director/producer Dave Filoni has revealed at a panel today at the Star Wars Celebration 2023 in London that Kevin Kiner (Doom Patrol, Narcos: Mexico, CSI: Miami, Making a Murderer) is scoring Lucasfilm’s upcoming Disney+ original series Ahsoka. The show is written by Filoni stars Rosario Dawson in the title role, alongside Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren and Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla. Movie directed by Aaron Horvath & Michael Jelenic and starring Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black Black and Seth Rogen. The film’s original music is composed by Brian Tyler (Avengers: Age of Ultron, Fast Five, Crazy Rich Asians, Yellowstone, Iron Man 3) with original Nintendo themes by Koji Kondo. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ music and two songs from the movie today. iam8bit will release physical editions in various formats. Also already out since Wednesday is the biographical drama Air directed by Ben Affleck and starring Matt Damon, Jason Bateman, Viola Davis, Affleck himself, Chris Tucker and Chris Messina. Paul Haslinger (Underworld, Halt and Catch Fire) has contributed a few original score cues to the film, which mostly features tracks from 80s scores by Tangerine Dream, Harold Faltermeyer, among other composers . Sony’s Legacy Recordings has released a soundtrack album featuring the 80s hits from the movie by Bruce Springsteen, Dire Straits, The Clash, RUN DMC, Cyndi Lauper & other artists earlier this week. The track co-written (with directors Aaron Horvath & Michael Jelenic and Eric Osmond & John Spiker) and performed by Jack Black (as Bowser) is included on the official soundtrack album and has also just been released as a digital single today by Back Lot Music.
