Sony Music Publishing has released a soundtrack album for the Italian adventure drama Io Capitano (Me Captain). The album features the film’s original music composed by Andrea Farri (The First King, Security, The Hanging Sun, Latin Lover, Italian Race). Io Capitano is co-written and directed by Matteo Garrone and stars Bamar Kane, Joseph Beddelem, Seydou Sarr, Moustapha Fall and Didier Njikam. The movie tells the story of the journey of two young men from Senegal who make their way across Africa in pursuit of a dream called Europe. The drama just premiered at the 2023 Venice Film Festival and is opening in Italian theaters today.
