Amboss Recordings has released a soundtrack album for the German comedy Alter Weisser Mann. The album features the film’s original music composed by Segun Akinola (Doctor Who, Girl You Know It’s True, Murder Is Easy, 9/11: Inside the President’s War Room, Stephen, The Last Tree). Also included is the original song Weekendfeeling by Die Fantastischen Vier. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. The show’s original music is composed by Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, Conclave, Hotel Mumbai, The Old Guard, Adrift). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score from the first episodes this past Friday. The details of the second score album for the second season of the Netflix animated series Arcane have been revealed. The album features the original score from Act II of Season 2 composed by Alexander Temple, Alex Seaver, as well as Andrew Kierszenbaum. The film’s original music is composed by Henry Jackman (X-Men: First Class, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Wreck-It-Ralph, Kong: Skull Island, Big Hero 6, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Captain Phillips). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today, as well as an original song by Laufey today. Opening in select theaters today before coming out on VOD next Friday, November 22, is the documentary The World According to Allee Willis directed by Alexis Spraic about the songwriter/artist and her struggle with not fitting established gender and sexual norms. No word on a soundtrack release. Sony Classical has announced The World of Hans Zimmer – Part II: A New Dimension. The sequel to 2019’s The World of Hans Zimmer – A Symphonic Celebration features seventeen more of the Academy Award-winning composer’s most successful soundtracks transformed into new orchestral suites. Highlights include a a new romantic suite from The Prince of Egypt, a “cello-concerto-like” version of Final Ascent from No Time to Die, a newly crafted suite of The Rock, and a tranquil rendition of A Time of Quiet Between the Storms from Dune Part Two. Among the featured soloists and collaborators are singers Lebo M, Lisa Gerrard, Nokukhanya Dlamini, Gan-ya Ben-gur Akselrod, musicians Pedro Eustache, Juan García-Herreros, Alexios Anest, Mariko Muranaka, Eliane Correa,Rusanda Panfili, Luis Ribeiro, Aleksandra Šuklar & Lucy Landymore who perform alongside the Odessa Orchestra & Friends & the Nairobi Chamber Choir, under the baton of conductor Gavin Greenaway. The album will be released digitally and physically (as a 2-CD set and a limited edition 3 x 180g vinyl) on January 31 and is now available for pre-order in all formats on Amazon.
