‘Camp X-Ray’ Soundtrack Details

camp-x-rayLakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the indie drama Camp X-Ray. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jess Stroup. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 14, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version is set to be released on November 11. Audio clips are available below. Camp X-Ray is written and directed by Peter Sattle and stars Kristen Stewart, Payman Maadi, John Carroll Lynch, Lane Garrison, Joseph Julian Soria and Cory Michael Smith. The movie executive produced by David Gordon Green follows a young woman who joins the military to be part of something bigger than herself and her small-town roots but ends up as a rookie guard at Guantanamo Bay. manhattan-love-storyPremiering on Tuesday, September 30, on ABC is the new comedy Manhattan Love Story created by Jeff Lowell (John Tucker Must Die) and starring Analeigh Tipton, Jake McDorman, Nicolas Wright, Jade Catta-Preta, Chloe Wepper and Kurt Fuller. The show’s original music is composed by Alec Puro (The Fosters, The Art of Getting By, The First Time). selfieAlso premiering on Tuesday on ABC is the new comedy Selfie created by Emily Kapnek and starring Karen Gillan, John Cho, Tim Peper, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Allyn Rachel and David Harewood. Jared Faber (Suborgatory, As Told by Ginger) is composing the show’s original music. Selfie follows a self-obsessed twentysomething who is more concerned with “likes” than being liked. danny-elfmanDanny Elfman revealed in a recent interview with LIVE105 that he will be composing the music for the upcoming period drama Tulip Fever. The film is directed by Justin Chadwick (The Other Boyleyn Girl) and stars Alicia Vikander, Dane DeHaan, Jack O’Connell, Christoph Waltz, Holliday Grainger, Zach Galifianakis, Judi Dench, Matthew Morrison, Tom Hollander, Cara Delevingne and Cressida Bonas. The movie is set in 17th century Amsterdam and follows a married woman who begins a passionate affair with an artist hired to paint her portrait. Tom Stoppard (Shakespeare in Love, Empire of the Sun, Brazil) has written the screenplay based on the romance novel by Deborah Moggach. rocks-in-my-pocketsMovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the animated feature Rocks in My Pockets. The album features the film’s original music composed by Kristian Sensini. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 30, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. Rocks in My Pockets is directed by Latvian-born artist and filmmaker Signe Baumane and tells five fantastical tales based on the courageous women in her family and their battles with madness. It was announced last week that the movie will represent Latvia in the race for the foreign language Oscars. The soundtrack will be released on October 7, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

the-equalizerExpected to top the weekend box office is the action thriller The Equalizer directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Denzel Washington, Chloë Grace Moretz, Marton Csokas, David Harbour, Bill Pullman and Melissa Leo. The film’s original music is composed by Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of NarniaShrek series, Man on FireUnstoppable) who previously scored the director’s The Replacement Killers. Varese Sarabande has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music earlier this week. Check out our previous article for the full album details. the-boxtrollsAlso opening wide this weekend is the animated feature The Boxtrolls directed by Anthony Stacchi & Graham Annable and featuring the voices of Ben Kingsley, Isaac Hempstead-Wright, Elle Fanning, Jared Harris, , Tracy Morgan, Toni Collette, Nick Frost, Richard Ayoade and Simon Pegg. Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, V for Vendetta, Anna Karenina) has composed the film’s original music. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the songs from the film, including The Boxtrolls Song written by Eric Idle and performed by Mark Orton and Loch Lomond. fathers-and-daughtersPaolo Buonvino has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming drama Fathers and Daughters. The film is directed by Gabriele Muccino (The Pursuit of Happyness, Seven Pounds) and stars Russell Crowe, Amanda Seyfried, Aaron Paul, Jane Fonda, Octavia Spencer, Quvenzhane Wallis, Diane Kruger, Bruce Greenwood and Janet McTeer. The movie follows a woman dealing with a crumbling relationship in the present and looking back on the relationship she had with her Pulitzer Prize-winning father, 25 years earlier. Brad Desch has written the Black List-honored screenplay. Craig J. Flores (Charlie Countryman) & Nicolas Chartier (The Hurt Locker, Killer Joe) are producing the project for Voltage Pictures, alongside Sherryl Clark (Plush) for Busted Shark Productions. ‘St. Vincent’ Soundtrack Details

st-vincentThe details of the soundtrack album for the comedy drama St. Vincent have been revealed. The album features the songs from the film, including two new songs by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy. Also included are songs by Jefferson Airplane, Bob Dylan, The National, JD and the Straight Shoot, Nyzzy Nyce, Brewer & Shipley, Bronze Radio Return, Fingazz & Ca$hizz Klay and Vechyaslav Samarin. The soundtrack will be released on October 27, 2014 by Sony Masterworks and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips can be checked out after the jump. As previously reported, the label will also release a separate soundtrack featuring the film’s original score composed by Theodore Shapiro. St. Vincent written and directed by Theodore Melfi and starring Bill Murray, Melissa McCarthy, Naomi Watts, Terrence Howard, Chris O’Dowd and Scott Adsit will be released in select cities on October 10 by the Weinstein Company before expanding nationwide over the following of weeks. stalkerJohn Frizzell is composing the music for the new CBS drama Stalker. The show is created by Kevin Williamson (Scream, Dawson’s Creek, I Know What You Did Last Summer) and stars Maggie Q, Dylan McDermott, Victor Rasuk and Mariana Klaveno. The psychological thriller follows two detectives who investigate stalking incidents – including voyeurism, cyber harassment and romantic fixation – for the Threat Assessment Unit of the LAPD. Williamson is executive producing the Warner Bros. Television production. Frizzell has previously collaborated with Williamson on his directorial debut Teaching Mrs. Tingle starring Helen Mirren, as well as on the TV shows The Secret Circle and Fox’s The Following, which will return for a third season in early 2015.
