Island Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Amy. The album features the songs from the movie by the film’s subject Amy Winehouse, including live versions of such tracks as Rehab, Valerie, What It Is About Men, We’re Still Friends & more. Also included is the movie’s original score composed by Antonio Pinto (Senna, City of God, Lord of War, McFarland, USA). The soundtrack will be released on October 30, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Amy is directed by Asif Kapadia and chronicles the British singer’s rise to fame before her untimely death at age 27 of alcohol poisoning.

Two new movies opened nationwide this past Wednesday:
Opening in most theaters this week is the sci-fi action adventure Terminator Genisys directed by Alan Taylor and starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, Jason Clarke, Matt Smith, Byung-Hun Lee and JK Simmons. The film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (Home, Penguins of Madagascar). Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions have released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music. Asif Kapadia’s ‘Amy’ to Feature Music by Antonio Pinto
Antonio Pinto has composed the original score for the upcoming documentary Amy. The film is directed by Asif Kapadia (The Warrior, Far North, The Return) and chronicles British singer Amy Winehouse’s rise to fame with such hits like Rehab and Valerie before her untimely death at age 27 of alcohol poisoning. The movie features unseen archival footage and unheard tracks by Winehouse. James Gay-Rees (Exit Through the Gift Shop, The Quiet Ones) is producing the project for On The Corner Films. Pinto has previously collaborated with Kapadia on the documentaries Senna and the short The Odyssey.
