Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the comedy sequel Ted 2 directed by Seth MacFarlane and starring Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, Morgan Freeman, Jessica Barth and Giovanni Ribisi. The film’s original music is composed by Walter Murphy (American Dad, Family Guy) who also scored 2012’s original movie. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Mean Ol’ Moon performed by Amanda Seyfriend and Norah Jones in two different version and tracks by Ray Charles, Bone Symphony and John Wilson, Maida Vale Singers & Curtis Stigers. Also opening wide is the family adventure Max directed by Boaz Yakin and starring Josh Wiggins, Lauren Graham, Thomas Haden Church, Robbie Amell, Luke Kleintank and Jay Hernandez. Trevor Rabin (Remember the Titans, Armageddon, Gone in 60 Seconds, National Treasure) has composed the film’s original music.
