Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past – The Rogue Cut. The album features the original score from the new cut of last year’s hit film composed by John Ottman (The Usual Suspects, X2, Valkyrie, Superman Returns, The Fantastic Four), including new music which the composer recorded specifically for the new edition. The soundtrack will be released on July 10, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released the original soundtrack for the film last year. X-Men: Days of Future Past stars Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen.

Two new movies are opening nationwide this holiday weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the superhero sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past directed by Bryan Singer and starring Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Peter Dinklage, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. The details of the soundtrack album for the superhero sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by John Ottman (The Usual Suspects, Superman Returns, The Fantastic Four) who previously scored X2. Also included is Roberta Flack’s song The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face and Jim Groce’s Time in a Bottle. The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 19, 2014 and physically on June 3.The CD version is now available for pre-order on Amazon. X-Men: Days of Future Past is directed by Bryan Singer and stars Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Peter Dinklage, Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen. The movie features the characters from the original X-Men film trilogy who join forces with their younger selves from the past from X-Men: First Class in order to change a major historical event. The sequel will be released nationwide on May 23 by 20th Century Fox.
John Ottman to Score ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ and ‘Non-Stop’
John Ottman has officially signed on to score the upcoming superhero film sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past. The film reunites the composer with Bryan Singer who is directing his third entry in the franchise. The movie acts as a sequel to both 2011’s X-Men: First Class (scored by Henry Jackman) and 2006’s X-Men: The Last Stand (scored by John Powell) and stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore and Daniel Cudmore from the original trilogy, as well as James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult from the last part in the series. They are joined by new cast members Peter Dinklage, Omar Sy, Booboo Stewart and Fan Bingbing, Singer is also writing the story and Simon Kinberg, Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman are penning the script. The director is also producing the project with Vaughn, Kinberg and Richard & Lauren Shuler Donner.
