Rupert Gregson-Williams is set to score the upcoming Netflix original movie The Do Over. The comedy is directed by Steven Brill (Mr. Deeds, Without a Paddle, Little Nicky) and stars Adam Sandler, David Spade, Paula Patton, Nick Swardson and Luis Guzman. The film follows two down-on-their-luck guys who decide to fake their own deaths and start over with new identities, only to find the people they’re pretending to be are in even deeper trouble. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the action thriller Hitman: Agent 47 directed by Aleksander Bach and starring Rupert Friend, Hannah Ware, Zachary Quinto, Ciarán Hinds and Thomas Kretschmann. The film’s original music is composed by Marco Beltrami (World War Z, The Wolverine, Scream, The Hurt Locker). La-La Land Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music next week. Also opening wide is the action comedy American Ultra directed by Nima Nourizadeh and starring Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Topher Grace, Connie Britton, Tony Hale, John Leguizamo, Bill Pullman and Walton Goggins. Marcelo Zarvos (The Affair, Ray Donavan, Remember Me, Enough Said) has composed the film’s original score. No word yet on a soundtrack album. American Ultra follows a seemingly hapless and unmotivated stoner whose small-town life with his live-in girlfriend is suddenly turned upside down when he finds out that he is actually a highly trained, lethal sleeper agent. Nathan Halpern has been tapped to score the upcoming indie drama Sticky Notes. The film marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Amanda Harlib and stars Rose Leslie, Ray Liotta, Justin Bartha and Gina Rodriguez. The movie follows a backup dancer who returns home to Florida to help care for her estranged father after he’s diagnosed with cancer. ‘Sinister 2’ Soundtrack Released

Tony Morales Scoring Disney’s ‘Elena of Avalor’

Tony Morales is composing the music for Disney Television Animation’s upcoming series Elena of Avalor. The show centers around 16-year old Princess Elena, a confident and compassionate teenager in an enchanted fairytale kingdom inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore. The character will be introduced in an episode of Disney’s hit series Sofia the First. Aimee Carrero will be providing the voice of the lead character.
