David Wingo is reteaming with director Jeff Nichols on the upcoming drama Loving. The film is written and directed by Nichols and stars Joel Edgerton, Ruth Negga, Nick Kroll, Marton Csokas and Michael Shannon. The movie is inspired by Nancy Buirski’s documentary The Loving Story and tells the true story of Richard and Mildred Loving, an interracial couple, who were sentenced to prison in Virginia in 1958 for getting married. Ged Doherty & Colin Firth (Eye In The Sky), Sarah Green (Frida, The Tree of Life), Buirski and Marc Turtletaub & Peter Saraf (Little Miss Sunshine, Safety Not Guaranteed) are producing the project. OPUS has released a soundtrack album for the drama Sky. The album features the film’s original music composed by late composer François-Eudes Chanfrault (High Tension, Inside, Jamie Marks Is Dead). Sky is directed by Fabienne Berthaud and stars Diane Kruger, Norman Reedus, Gilles Lellouche, Q’orianka Kilcher, Lena Dunham and Joshua Jackson. Decca Records will release the official soundtrack album for Stephen Frears’ comedy drama Florence Foster Jenkins. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alexandre Desplat (The King’s Speech, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Godzilla, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) who previously collaborated with the director on such movies as The Queen and Philomena. Also included are the opera performances from the film by Meryl Streep and Aida Garifullina. The soundtrack will be released overseas on May 6, 2016 and is now available for pre-order as an import on Amazon. No word yet on a domestic release date. Florence Foster Jenkins stars Meryl Streep, Hugh Grant, Simon Helberg, Rebecca Ferguson and Nina Arianda. The movie tells the true story of the legendary New York heiress and socialite who obsessively pursued her dream of becoming a great opera singer despite having a terrible voice. Charlie Clouser has recently composed the music for the upcoming horror thriller The Neighbor. The film is directed by Marcus Dunstan (The Collector, screenwriter of Sav VI, V, VI and The Final Chapter) and stars Josh Stewart, Melissa Bolona, Alex Essoe, Bill Engvall, Ronnie Blevins, Jaqueline Fleming and Luke Edwards. The movie follows a man who discovers the dark truth about his secretive neighbor and what, or who, he may be keeping in the cellar. Dunstan has also written the screenplay with his regular writing partner Patrick Melton. Brett Forbes and Patrick Rizzotti (Pride, The Collector) are producing the project for Fortress Features. James Newton Howard has been tapped to score the upcoming fantasy adventure Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The film is directed by David Yates (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince) and stars Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Colin Farrell, Ezra Miller, Dan Fogler, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Carmen Ejogo and Alison Sudol. The movie is based on the book of the same title by J.K. Rowling and follows the adventures of writer Newt Scamander in New York’s secret community of witches and wizards 70 years before Harry Potter reads his book in school.
