Amazon Content Services will release a soundtrack album for the Amazon original series The Stinky & Dirty Show. The album features the original songs from the show by folk singer and songwriter Dan Bern. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 2, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Stinky & Dirty Show written and developed by Guy Toubes is based on the books of Jim & Kate McMullan and tells the adventures of best friends and unlikely heroes, Stinky the garbage truck and Dirty the backhoe loader. The movie based on the bestseller by Peter Ackroyd and is set in Victorian-era London and revolves around an intrepid police inspector who investigates a series of brutal killings that seem to be linked to a fearsome creature of Jewish legend. The track, entitled Stubborn Angels, will be featured in the movie directed by Michael Carney and starring Greg Kinnear, Renée Zellweger, Djimon Hounsou and Jon Voight. Lady Gaga to Compose & Perform Songs for Bradley Cooper’s ‘A Star is Born’

According to Deadline, Lady Gaga will be composing and performing music for the upcoming remake of the movie musical A Star Is Born. The film will mark the directorial feature debut of Bradley Cooper who will also star in the movie alongside Gaga who will be playing the lead role and portray a singer whose star rises as quickly as her troubled lover/mentor’s star is falling. Cooper is also writing the screenplay with Will Fetters (Remember Me, The Lucky One) and is producing the project with Todd Phillips (The Hangover, Old School), Billy Gerber (Villa Capri) and Jon Peters (Batman, Superman Returns, Ali). The Warner Bros. Pictures production is set to start shooting in early 2017.

Lorne Balfe has signed on to compose the music for the upcoming biographical drama Churchill. The film is directed by Jonathan Teplitzky (The Railway Man, Burning Man) and stars Brian Cox, Miranda Richardson, John Slattery, James Purefoy and Ella Purnell. The movie is set across the five days before D-Day in 1944 and charts the tension between the British PM and the Allied leaders, including Eisenhower and Montgomery, who are poised to launch the invasion of Nazi-occupied Europe. Expanded ‘Primal Fear’ Soundtrack to Be Released

La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack release for the 1996 thriller Primal Fear directed by Gregory Hoblit and starring Richard Gere, Edward Norton and Laura Linney. The album features the expanded and remastered original music from the film composed and produced by James Newton Howard (King Kong, The Hunger Games, The Sixth Sense, Signs, Maleficent, The Fugitive), including more than 30 minutes of previously unreleased cues, alternates and demos. Deadline is reporting that Alan Menken and Lin-Manuel Miranda will be teaming up to write the music for a live action feature adaptation of The Little Mermaid. The movie version is also said to feature songs from Disney’s classic animated movie, for which Menken won two Academy Awards for Best Original Song (with Howard Ashman) and Best Original Score. Marc Platt (Into the Woods, Wanted, Legally Blonde, Bridge of Spies) who is also on board of Disney’s upcoming Mary Poppins Returns will be producing the project.
