Joe Kraemer announced on Twitter that he will be scoring the upcoming TV series Iron Fisting. The show is created by Brian Gatewood and Alex Tanaka and follows the exploits of two mismatched buddy cops as they seek to protect Communism and comrades from the evils of Capitalism. The comedy, which is described as “being done as a fake Romanian cop show from the 1980s”, is produced by A24 and Channing Tatum’s Free Association. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album for the comedy Bigger Fatter Liar. The album features the film’s original score composed by Peter Allen (American Mary, The Art of War II: Betrayal, Blond and Blonder). Also included are three songs by Atomic Tom. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Bigger Fatter Liar is directed by Ron Oliver and stars Ricky Garcia, Jodelle Ferland, Fiona Vroom, Kevin O’Grady, Karen Holness and Barry Bostwick. The movie revolves around a teenage habitual liar who leaves suburbia to prove a sleazy executive stole his idea for a video game. Sigur Rós frontman Jónsi has contributed a new song for James Ponsoldt’s thriller The Circle. The track is a new recording of the classic song Simple Gifts by Shaker. STX Recordings and Sony Masterworks will release a soundtrack album featuring the track, as well as Danny Elfman‘s original score from the movie on April 28. Marvel Music will release a score album for James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tyler Bates (300, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead) who previously scored the first installment in the series. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 21, 2017 and will be available to download on Amazon. As previously reported, a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the film, including an original track co-written by Bates, will be released on the same day. Silva Screen Records has announced a soundtrack album for the BBC mini-series The Witness for the Prosecution. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Paul Englishby (An Education, Page Eight, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day, Luther, The Musketeers) who received an Ivor Novello nomination in the Best Television Soundtrack category this year for his work on the project.
