Andrew Feltenstein and John Nau are scoring the upcoming comedy Action Point. The film is directed by Tim Kirkby (Brockmire) and stars Johnny Knoxville. The movie imagines what would happen if Knoxville and his cohorts irresponsibly designed and operated their own theme park. Knoxville also co-wrote the screenplay with John Altschuler & Dave Krinsky (Silicon Valley, King of the Hill, Extract) and is producing the project with Billy Gerber (Gran Torino, The Dukes of Hazzard) and Derek Freda (Bad Grandpa). Action Point is set to be released in theaters nationwide on June 1, 2018 by Paramount Pictures.
The composers whose previous scoring credits include Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, The House, Case de Mi Padre and Sleeping with Other People also have the comedy Drunk Parents coming up. The film is directed by Fred Wolf (The House Bunny) and stars Alec Baldwin, Salma Hayek, Jim Gaffigan, Joe Manganiello, Bridget Moynahan and Ben Platt. The movie follows two drunk parents who attempt to hide their ever increasing financial difficulties from their daughter and social circle through elaborate neighborhood schemes. Arturo Sandoval has previously composed a score for the movie before it was picked up by Aviron Pictures for a release later this year.
