Columbia will release a soundtrack album for the animated sequel Despicable Me 3. The album features the original songs and themes from the movie written by Pharrell Williams, including the original track Yellow Light, which will be released tomorrow. Also included are songs by a-ha, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Nena, as well as a suite from the movie’s original score by Heitor Pereira (The Angry Birds Movie, The Smurfs) who previously scored the first two movies and the spin-off Minions. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 23, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A CD version will also be released and can be pre-ordered by clicking here. ‘Spoor’ Soundtrack Released

Air-Edel Records has released a soundtrack album for the Polish drama Spoor. The album features the film’s original music composed by Antoni Komasa-Lazarkiewicz (In Darkness, Rosemary’s Baby mini-series). Spoor is directed by Agnieszka Holland (The Secret Garden, Washington Square, Europa Europa) and stars Agnieszka Mandat, Wiktor Zborowski, Miroslav Krobot, Jakub Giersal, Patricia Volny and Borys Szyc. George Kallis to Score ‘Cliffs of Freedom’

George Kallis has been hired to score the upcoming historical drama Cliffs of Freedom. The film marks the feature directorial debut of visual effects artist Van Ling and stars Christopher Plummer, Tania Raymonde, Patti LuPone, Kevin Corrigan, Jan Uddin, Billy Zane and Raza Jeffrey. The movie centers on the ill-fated romance between a Greek village girl and a conflicted Turkish officer during the dawn of the Greek War for Independence against the Ottoman Empire in 1821. Johann Johannsson is attached to score the upcoming action thriller Mandy. The film will be directed by Panos Cosmatos (Beyond the Black Rainbow) and is set to star Nicolas Cage. The movie is set in the primal wilderness of 1983 where a broken and haunted man hunts an unhinged religious sect who slaughtered the love of his life. Daniel Noah, Josh C. Waller (Cooties, Camino) & Elijah Wood are producing the project for Spectrevision, alongside Nate Bolotin (The Raid 2) for XYZ Films and Adrian Politowski (Erased) for Umedia.
