David Lang has recently composed the music for the upcoming drama Wildlife. The film marks the directorial debut of actor Paul Dano and stars Carey Mulligan, Ed Oxenbould, Bill Camp and Jake Gyllenhaal. The movie based on the novel of the same title by Richard Ford is set in 1960 Montana and revolves around a boy who witnesses his parent’s marriage falling apart after his mom finds another man. Dano also co-wrote the screenplay with Zoe Kazan. Gyllenhaal is also producing the project with Andrew Duncan & Alex Saks (The Florida Project), Oren Moverman (The Messenger, Rampart), Ann Ruark (The Beaver) and Riva Marker (Beasts of No Nation, Hello, My Name Is Doris). Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for Wes Ball’s Maze Runner: The Death Cure. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Paesano (Daredevil, The Defenders, Pacific Rim Uprising, The Star) who previously scored the first two parts in the series. The soundtrack will be released on January 26, 2017 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check back on this page for the full album details. Anne Dudley has recently recorded her score for the BBC family comedy drama Grandpa’s Great Escape. The film is directed by Elliot Hegarty (The Bad Education Movie) and stars Tom Courtenay, Kit Connor, Jennifer Saunders, Samantha Spiro and David Walliams. The movie is based on an original book by Walliams and tells the story of a World War II flying ace who now suffers from Alzheimer’s disease and when his family can no longer look after him he is moved to an old people’s home called Twilight Tower. Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the French animated feature Tall Tales from the Magical Garden of Antoon Krings (Droles de petites betes). The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Bruno Coulais (Coraline, The Chorus, The Crimson Rivers, The Secret of Kells). The soundtrack is now available to order on the label’s website, where you can also listen to audio clips. Tall Tales from the Magical Garden of Antoon Krings is directed by Antoon Krings & Arnaud Bouron and  follows Apollo, a vagabond cricket, as he sets off to start a new life in the magical garden and gets involved with the wrong crowd. Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1990 spy drama The Russia House directed by Fred Schepisi and starring Sean Connery, Michelle Pfeifer, Roy Scheider, James Fox and Klaus Maria Brandauer. The album features the remastered and complete original score from the MGM production composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Poltergeist, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Chinatown, Patton), including over 15 minutes of previously unreleased music from the movie based on the John Le Carre novel. Premiering on Friday, December 15, is the new Amazon original series Jean-Claude Van Johnson created by  Dave Callaham and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Kat Foster, Moises Arias and Phylicia Rashad. The show’s original music is composed by Joseph Trapanese (Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, Only the Brave, The Greatest Showman). The comedy follows a global martial arts and film sensation who is operating under the simple alias of “Johnson,” the most dangerous undercover private contractor in the world. Goat Records will release a soundtrack album for the indie comedy drama Pottersville. The album features the songs from the movie by artists including The Andrews Sisters, Gene Autry, Rosemary Clooney, The Debonaires, Kitty Wells & more. Also included is a track from the movie’s original score composed by Brando Triantafillou. The soundtrack will be released next Friday, December 15, and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Pottersville is directed by Seth Henrikson and stars Michael Shannon, Judy Greer, Tom Lennon, Ron Perlman, Christina Hendricks and Ian McShane. The movie follows a beloved local businessman who is mistaken for the legendary Bigfoot during an inebriated romp through town in a makeshift gorilla costume, setting off an international media spectacle and attracting a lot of much needed business for the town . Madison Gate Records has released the main title theme from the second season of the Hulu original series Shut Eye. The track is written by Melpo Mene and is now available to download as a digital single on Amazon. The label has also released Leslie Bohem’s main title song Walk on Well Lighted Streets from the show’s first season earlier this week. Shut Eye is created by Bohem and stars Jeffrey Donovan, KaDee Strickland, Isabella Rosselini, David Zayas, Susan Misner and Emmanuelle Chriqui. The drama is set in the world of storefront psychics in Los Angeles and centers on a disgruntled former player in the world who begins to experience visions. The series’ second season premiered this past Wednesday on Hulu.

The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the comedy Just Getting Started written and directed by Ron Shelton and starring Morgan Freeman, Tommy Lee Jones, Rene Russo, Joe Pantoliano, Glenne Headley, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Elizabeth Ashley, George Wallace, Graham Beckel and Jane Seymour. The film’s original music is composed by Alex Wurman (March of the PenguinsTalladega NightsAnchormanThe Newsroom).
