Three new movies are opening nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the comedy Game Night directed by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein and starring Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams, Billy Magnussen, Sharon Horgan, Lamorne Morris, Kylie Bunbury, Jesse Plemons and Kyle Chandler. The film’s original music is composed by Cliff Martinez (Drive, Traffic, Contagion, Solaris, The Knick, The Neon Demon). Also opening wide is the sci-fi thriller Annihilation written and directed by Alex Garland and starring Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodgriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny and Oscar Isaac. Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow (Ex Machina, Free Fire) have composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score. Composer Michael Penn (Girls, Masters of Sex, Boogie Nights, Sunshine Cleaning) is scoring the new NBC comedy drama Good Girls. The show is created by Jenna Bans and stars Christina Hendricks, Retta, Mae Whitman, Matthew Lillard, Reno Wilson, Manny Montana, Lidya Jewett and Izzy Stannard. The series follows three suburban moms who get tired of trying to make ends meet and decide it’s time to stick up for themselves by robbing the local grocery store. 
Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the spy thriller Red Sparrow. The album features the film’s original music composed by James Newton Howard (The Hunger Games, The Sixth Sense, The Fugitive, Signs, King Kong, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them). The soundtrack is expected to be released on March 2 and is now available for pre-order on 
The performers of this year’s nominated songs at the 90th Oscars ceremony have been announced today by show producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd. Gael Garcia Bernal, Natalie LaFourcade and Miguel will perform Remember Me from Pixar’s Coco written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Robert Lopez. Bernal provided the voice of the main character in the film and Miguel & LaFourcade recorded the end credits version of the song. Mary J. Blige will perform Might River from Dee Rees’ Mudbound, which she co-wrote with Raphael Saadiq and Taura Stinson. 
Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Lebanese drama The Insult. The album features the film’s original music composed by Eric Neveux (Intimacy, The Attack, Zombillenium, Cezanne et moi). The soundtrack is now available digitally overseas and will be released in the U.S. on March 2, 2018. Visit 
Bobby Krlic (aka The Haxan Cloak) has composed the music for the first season of the new Netflix original series Seven Seconds. The show is created by Veena Sud (The Killing, Cold Case) based on the 2013 Russian movie The Major and stars Clare-Hope Ashitey, Regina King, Beau Knapp, Russell Hornsby, Michael Mosely, David Lyons, Raul Castillo and Zackary Momoh. The drama revolves around the death of a 15-year-old African American boy in Jersey City that sets off a police cover-up and a search for the truth. 
Filmtrax will release a soundtrack album for the thriller Beast of Burden. The album features the film’s original music composed by Tim Jones (Chuck, Human Target, Cult, Bobby Z). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 23 and will be available to download on 
Big Machine Records has released a new soundtrack album for the CMT original series Nashville. The album features the songs from the first half of the show’s sixth season performed by cast members including Hayden Panettiere, Charles Esten, Clare Bowen, Sam Palladio, Maisy Stella, Chris Carmack, Rainee Blake and Rhiannon Giddens. The Season 6 – Volume 1 soundtrack is now available to download on 
Jon Brion has signed on to score the upcoming romantic comedy Isn’t It Romantic?. The film is directed by Todd Strauss-Schulson (A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, The Final Girls) and stars Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine, Liam Hemsworth, Priyanka Chopra and Betty Gilpin. The movie tells the story of a cynical woman who discovers that her life has become a romantic comedy, and she goes from sidekick to center stage. Erin Cardillo (Life Sentence), Dana Fox (Couple Retreat, How to Be Single) & Katie Silberman and Paula Pell (Sisters) wrote the screenplay. 
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller The Cured. The album features the film’s original music composed by Rory Friers & Niall Kennedy of the Irish rock band And So I Watch You From Afar. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 2, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on
