Premiering tonight is the new CBS drama Instinct created by Michael Rauch and starring Alan Cumming, Bojana Novakovic, Daniel Ings, Naveen Andrews and Sharon Leal. The show’s original music is composed by James S. Levine (Glee, Nip/Tuck, Damages, Star, The Last Ship, Bloodline, Major Crimes). Premiering on Wednesday, March 21, is the new Syfy original series Krypton developed by David S. A soundtrack album has been released for the Mexican comedy Todo Mal. The album features the film’s original music composed by Andrew Kawczynski (Sky Hunter) who is best known for his contributions to numerous scores written by Hans Zimmer, including The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Chappie and Man of Steel. Nima Fakhrara has been tapped to score the upcoming indie romantic comedy Simple Wedding. The film is co-written and directed by Sara Zandieh and stars Tara Grammy, Shohreh Aghdashloo, Christopher O’Shea, Rita Wilson (who also serves as an executive producer), Maz Jobrani, Houshang Touzie, Peter Mackenzie, Rebecca Henderson, Aleque Reid, Angela Gibbs and James Eckhouse. The movie revolves around a millennial Persian girl navigating a cross-cultural relationship. Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Survivors Guide to Prison. The album features the film’s original music score composed by Sebastian Robertson. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 23, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Survivors Guide to Prison is directed by Matthew Cooke and produced by Adrian Grenier, David Arquette, Christina Arquette, and executive produced by Susan Sarandon. The movie features interviews with Danny Trejo, Deepak Chopra, Patricia Arquette, Danny Glover, Cynthia Nixon, Ice-T, RZA, Busta Rhymes, Tom Morello, Macklemore, Quincy Jones, among others, who are giving their insight and tips for surviving the prison system. Opening in most theaters is the action adventure Tomb Raider directed by Roar Uthaug and starring Alicia Vikander, Dominic West, Walton Goggins and Daniel Wu. The film is written and directed by Ondi Timoner (Dig!, We Live in Public) and stars Matt Smith, Marianne Rendón, John Benjamin Hickey, Brandon Sklenar, McKinley Belcher III and Mark Moses. The movie tells the story of art-school dropout Robert Mapplethorpe who quickly became the enfant terrible of the photography world as the downtown counterculture of 1970s New York reached its zenith. Timoner is also producing the project with actress Eliza Dushku, Nathaniel Dushku and Richard J. The album features the songs from the TV special written by Andrew Llyod Webber and Tim Rice and performed by John Legend, Sara BareillesAlice Cooper and other cast members. The soundtrack will be released on April 6, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert based on the 1971 Broadway musical is executive produced by Webber, Rice, Marc Platt, Craig Zadan & Neil Meron (Hairspray, Chicago) and revolves around the last week of Jesus’ life, told from the perspective of infamous betrayer Judas Iscariot.
