Opening in theaters nationwide this week is the political comedy drama Vice written and directed by Adam McKay and starring Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Steve Carrell, Sam Rockwell, Jesse Plemons, Alison Pill, Lily Rabe and Tyler Perry. The film’s original music is composed by Nicholas Britell (Moonlight, The Big Short, If Beale Street Could Talk, Battle of the Sexes, Succession). Also opening wide is the comedy Holmes & Watson written and directed by Etan Cohen and starring Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Rebecca Hall, Rob Brydon, Kelly Macdonald and Ralph Fiennes. Mark Mothersbaugh (The LEGO Movie, Thor: Ragnarok, 21/22 Jump Street, The Royal Tenenbaums) has composed the film’s original score. Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin) and Glenn Slater have contributed the original song Strange Sensation to the movie. ‘Vice’ Score Album Details

Decca Records will release a soundtrack album for Adam McKay’s political comedy drama Vice. The album features the film’s original score composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Nicholas Britell (Moonlight, The Big Short, If Beale Street Could Talk, Succession, Battle of the Sexes). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 7 and will be available to download on Amazon. Vice is written and directed by McKay and stars Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Steve Carrell, Sam Rockwell, Jesse Plemons, Alison Pill, Lily Rabe, Tyler Perry, Justin Kirk and LisaGay Hamilton. The movie explores the epic story about how a bureaucratic Washington insider quietly became the most powerful man in the world as Vice-President to George W. Bush.

‘Vice’ Soundtrack Details

Metropolis Movie Music will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi thriller Vice. The album features the film’s original music composed by the British electronic music group Hyrbid (Dead in Tombstones, Catacombs). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 30, 2015 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips are embedded after the jump. Vice is directed by Brian A. Miller and stars Thomas Jane, Bruce Willis, Ambyr Childers, Johnathon Schaech, Bryan Greenberg, Charlotte Kirk and Tyler J. Olson. The movie is set in a city in which humans can enact their most perverse fantasies onto androids and follows an android who becomes self-aware and breaks out, only to become intent on shutting down the organization.

In addition to the nationwide expansion of Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper, three other new movies are opening across the country this week:

Opening in around 3300 theaters is the family movie Paddington written and directed by Paul King and starring Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Nicole Kidman, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi and Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington. The film’s original music is composed by Nick Urata (Crazy, Stupid, Love, Focus). Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the score, as well as songs from the film by James Brown, Steppenwolf and Lionel Richie. Opening in roughly 3000 theaters is the comedy The Wedding Ringer directed by Jeremy Garelick and starring Kevin Hart, Josh Gad, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Ken Howard, Cloris Leachman, Jenifer Lewis, Mimi Rogers and Olivia Thirlby. Christopher Lennertz (Ride Along, Agent Carter, Identity Thief) has composed the film’s original score. Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the film by such artists as The Black Eyed Peas, Boyz II Men, Otis Redding, Todd Rundgren, Hal Jeffrin and Rancid earlier this week. ‘Vice’ to Feature Music by Hybrid

The British electronic music group Hybrid is composing the music for the upcoming sci-fi action thriller Vice. The film is directed by Brian A. Miller (The Prince, Officer Down, The Outsider) and stars Bruce Willis, Ambyr Childers and Thomas Jane. The movie is set in a city in which humans can enact their most perverse fantasies onto androids and follows one android who becomes self-aware and breaks out, only to become intent on shutting down the organization. Andre Fabrizio & Jeremy Passmore (Red Dawn, San Andreas, The Prince) have written the screenplay. George Furla & Randall Emmett (2 Guns, Lone Survivor, Righteous Kill, Broken City) and Adam Goldworm (The Prince) are producing the Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films production.
