Cynthia Erivo has recorded an original song for the biographical drama Harriet. The song, entitled Stand Up, is co-written by Erivo who also stars in the movie’s title role & Joshuah Brian Campbell and is produced by Will Wells & Gabe Fox-Peck. The track will be featured in the film directed by Kasi Lemmons and also starring Janelle Monáe, Leslie Odom Jr. and Joe Alwyn. Terence Blanchard has composed the original score for the drama, which tells the story of abolitionist Harriet Tubman, who escaped slavery and risked her life to lead others to freedom through the network of safehouses known as the Underground Railroad. Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the USA original series Mr. Robot. The album features more music from the show’s third season composed by Mac Quayle (American Horror Story, American Crime Story, Feud: Bette and Joan, Pose) who received an Emmy Award for his music from the series in 2016. The Volume 6 soundtrack will be released digitally on September 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The label has previously released five soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s music from the first three seasons of the show. Nowever Records has released a soundtrack album for the British drama The Last Photograph. The album features the film’s original music composed by Peter Raeburn (Woodlawn, Nancy, Photograph).
