Serjical Strike Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Truth to Power. The album features the film’s original music composed by Grammy Award-winning System Of A Down lead singer Serj Tankian. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Tuesday, August 31 and will be available to stream on Amazon, Spotify and other digital music services. Truth to Power is directed by Garin Hovannisian and centers on Tankian who – throughout his life – has pursued social justice, harnessing the power of his songs and celebrity for real political change. Toby Chu (Bao, Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return, Unforgettable, Covert Affairs, Henchmen) has composed the original score for the upcoming documentary Found. The film is directed by Amanda Lipitz (Step) and focuses on three American teenage girls (Chloe, Sadie and Lily) – each adopted from China – who discover they are blood-related cousins on 23andMe and are inspired to confront the burning questions they have about their lost history. Composer Lele Marchitelli is reuniting with director Paolo Sorrentino on the upcoming Italian Netflix original film The Hand of God (È stata la mano di Dio). The movie is written and directed by Sorrentino (Youth, Il Divo, This Must Be The Place) and stars Filippo Scotti, Toni Servillo, Teresa Saponangelo, Luisa Ranieri, Marlon Joubert, Renato Carpentieri, Betti Pedrazzi, Massimiliano Gallo, Biagio Manna and Ciro Capano. The details of the second soundtrack album for Marvel’s animated Disney+ series What If…? have been revealed. The album features the original music from the second episode of the show (What If…T’Challa Became a Star-Lord?) composed by Laura Karpman (Lovecraft Country, Paris Can Wait, Set It Up, Black Nativity, Why We Hate, Underground). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 23 by Hollywood Records/Marvel Music and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music outlets, including Amazon. Karpman’s music from the first episode (What If…Captain Carter Were The First Avenger?) was released earlier this month and the composer’s scores from the rest of the season will be coming out over the next couple of weeks. White revolves around a boy obsessed with scary stories who is trapped by an evil witch in her magical apartment and must tell a scary story every night to stay alive. Four new movies are opening in theaters nationwide:
Opening in most theaters is the sci-fi thriller Reminiscence written and directed by Lisa Joy and starring Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson, Thandiwe Newton, Angela Sarafyan, Cliff Curtis, Marina de Tavira, Daniel Wu, Mojean Aria, Brett Cullen, Natalie Martinez and Nico Parker. The film’s original music is composed by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Iron Man, Westworld, Pacific Rim, Clash of the Titans). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the songs from the movie performed by Rebecca Ferguson and Lonr. feat. Amber Mark today. Also opening wide is the animated feature PAW Patrol: The Movie directed by Cal Brunker and starring Beckett Hipkiss, Kingsley Marshall, Shayle Simons, Lilly Bartlam, Keegan Hedley, Ron Pard, Iain Armitage, Yara Shahidi, Marsai Martin, Randall Park, Dax Shepard, Kim Kardashian West, Tyler Perry, Jimmy Kimmel and Will Brisbin. No word on a score release. 222 Records & Interscope Records have released the original song Good Mood performed Adam Levine earlier this month.
