Lakeshore Records has released a score album for the MTV original series Scream. The album features selections of the original score fm the show’s first two seasons composed by Jeremy Zuckerman (The Legend of Korra, Avatar: The Last Airbender). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Columbia and Island Records have previously released two soundtracks featuring songs from the series. Scream is based on Wes Craven’s movie franchise and stars Willa Fitzgerald, Bex Taylor-Klaus, John Karna, Amadeus Serafini, Carlson Young, Kiana Ledé, Santiago Segura and Tracy Middendorf.

Marco Beltrami & Dennis Smith to Score History’s ‘Six’
Marco Beltrami and Dennis Smith have been hired to score the upcoming History original series Six. The show is created by William Broyles (Cast Away, Apollo 13, The Polar Express) & military special operations veteran David Broyles and stars Walton Goggins, Edwin Hodge, Dominic Adams, Brianne Davis, Nadine Velazquez, Jaylen Moore, Donny Boaz and Nondumiso Tembe. The military drama follows the Navy SEAL Team Six, whose 2014 mission to eliminate a Taliban leader in Afghanistan goes awry when they uncover a U.S. citizen working as a jihadist fighter with the terrorists.
Soundtrack Album for National Geographic’s ‘Mars’ Announced
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the National Geographic original series Mars. The album features the show’s original music composed by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Lawless, Hell or High Water, The Proposition). The soundtrack will be released on November 11, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Mars is directed by Everardo Gout, produced by Ron Howard & Brian Grazer and tell the story of a fictional astronaut crew on the very first human Mars mission in 2033. The six-part series combines interviews with real-world space experts ranging from The Martian author Andy Weir to Neil deGrasse Tyson.
CBS’ ‘Pure Genius’ to Feature Music by Will Bates
Will Bates is composing the original music for the new CBS medical drama Pure Genius. The show is created by Jason Katims (Friday Night Lights, Parenthood) and stars Dermot Mulroney, Augustus Prew, Odette Annable, Reshma Shetty, Aaron Jennings, Ward Horton and Brenda Song. The series revolves around a young Silicon Valley tech titan who enlists an exceptional veteran surgeon with a controversial past to run a state-of-the-art hospital with an ultramodern approach to medicine. Katims is also executive producing the Universal Television and CBS Television production with Michelle Lee and David Semel (Madam Secretary, Goliath) who also directed the pilot episode.
‘Planet Earth II’ Soundtrack Details
Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the BBC Earth documentary series Planet Earth. The album features the show’s main theme composed by Hans Zimmer (Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lion King, Inception, Interstellar), as well as the series’ original music written by Jacob Shea (Through the Wormhole, Sparks) and Jasha Klebe (Winter on Fire: Ukraine’s Fight for Freedom) for Bleeding Fingers Music. The soundtrack will be released on November 11, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. Planet Earth II is narrated by David Attenborough, executive produced by Michael Gunton (Hidden Kingdoms, Life), produced by Tom Hugh-Jones (Planet Life) and explores the unique characteristics of Earth’s most iconic habitats and the extraordinary ways animals survive within them.

Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series The Crown. The album features the show’s main title theme composed by Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, Inception, The Lion King, Rain Man, Pirates of the Caribbean), as well as the drama’s original music composed by Rupert Gregson-Williams (The Legend of Tarzan, Hacksaw Ridge, Over the Hedge, Bee Movie). The soundtrack will be released on November 4, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Crown is created by Peter Morgan (The Queen, Rush) and stars Claire Foy, Matt Smith, Vanessa Kirby and John Lithgow. The series is based on Morgan’s play The Audience and centers on the interplay and political intrigue between Queen Elizabeth II and the British prime ministers spanning several decades.
Trevor Morris to Score Marvel’s Netflix Series ‘Iron Fist’
Trevor Morris has been tapped to score Marvel’s upcoming Netflix original series Iron Fist. The show is developed by Chris Buck (Dexter) based on the Marvel Comics property and stars Finn Jones, Jessica Henwick, David Wenham, Jessica Stroup, Tom Pelphrey and Rosario Dawson. The drama centers on billionaire Danny Rand who mysteriously returns to New York City 15 years after he was presumed dead and tries to reconnect with his past, but when a long-destined enemy rises, he turns to his kung-fu mastery and ability to summon the awesome power of the fiery Iron Fist. Buck is also executive producing the Marvel Television and ABC Studios production with Stan Lee and Jeph Loeb (Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
Max Richter Scoring ‘The Sense of an Ending’ & FX’s ‘Taboo’
Max Richter has composed the music for the upcoming drama The Sense of an Ending. The film is directed by Ritesh Batra and stars Jim Broadbent, Charlotte Rampling, Michelle Dockery, Emily Mortimer, Harriet Walter and Edward Holcroft. The movie is based on Julian Barnes’ Man Booker Prize-winning novel of the same title and follows a man who becomes haunted by his past and is presented with a mysterious legacy that causes him to re-think his current situation in life. Nick Payne has written the screenplay. Ed Rubin and David Thompson (Woman in Gold, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) are producing the project.

Premiering tomorrow, October 24, is the new CBS comedy Man with a Plan created by Jackie & Jeff Filgo (That 70’s Show) and starring Matt LeBlanc, Liza Snyder, Kevin Nealon, Diana Maria Riva, Matt Cook and Jessica Chaffi. The show’s original music is composed by John Kimbrough (Winter Passing, Jump Tomorrow, A Decade Under the Influence). The series follows a contractor who must take on a more active parenting role when his wife goes back to work for the first time in 13 years. The comedy will air every Monday night on CBS. Premiering on Thursday, October 27, is the new CBS comedy The Great Indoors created by Mike Gibbons and starring Joel McHale, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Susannah Fielding, Christine Ko, Shaun Brown, Stephen Fry and Chris Williams. Ben and Scott Hoffman are composing the show’s original music. The series revolves around an adventure reporter who, after being sidelined by an injury, suddenly finds himself in his magazine’s digital/social media department, where he must manage a group of millennials. Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album for the ITV drama HIM. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Nick Green (Wild at Heart, Waterloo Road).
