Milan Records has announced a soundtrack album for the HBO limited series We Are Who We Are. The album features 12 tracks from the show’s original score composed by Devonté Hynes (aka Blood Orange) (Queen & Slim, Palo Alto, Mainstream). Also included are four previously released instrumental tracks from composers Julius Eastman and John Adams. The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 2, 2020 and will be available to stream/download here. We Are Who We Are is written and directed by Luca Guadagnino and stars Jack Dylan Grazer, Chloë Sevigny, Alice Braga, Spence Moore II, Kid Cudi, Jordan Kristine Seamón, Faith Alabi, Francesca Scorsese, Ben Taylor, Corey Knight, Tom Mercier and Sebastiano Pigazzi.

Weekly TV Music Roundup (September 20, 2020)
Premiering tomorrow, September 21, is the Fox drama Filthy Rich created by Tate Taylor and starring Kim Cattrall, Gerald McRaney, David Denman, Melia Kreiling, Aubrey Dollar, Benjamin Levy Aguilar, Mark L. Young, Olivia Macklin and Steve Harris. The show’s original music is composed by Jeff Toyne (Rogue, Dirty Girl, 9/11, Hot Bot, You Me Her). Also premiering tomorrow is the Quibi docu-series Benedict Men executive produced by Stephen Curry, Mike Basone, Mark Ciardi, Darin Friedman,Erick Peyton, Jeron Smith, Nate Gaines, Charles Segars and Dominic Ianno. Tony Morales (Elena of Avalor, Bloodline, The Bag Man, The Fugitive, An Actor Prepares, In Your Eyes) has composed the show’s original music. The series, which chronicles life at all-boys school St. Benedict’s Preparatory School in Newark, N.J., will be available to stream exclusively on Quibi.
Soundtrack Album for BBC Series ‘Us’ Released
Manners McDade has released a soundtrack album for the BBC mini-series Us. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Oli Julian (Sex Education, Catastrophe, How to Build a Girl, Code 404, Episodes, Plebs) . The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. Us is adapted by David Nicholls (Patrick Melrose, Far from the Madding Crowd) from his novel of the same name and stars Tom Hollander, Saskia Reeves, Sofie Gråbøl, Tom Taylor, Iain De Caestecker and Thaddea Graham. The 4-part drama directed by Geoffrey Sax follows a man who is blindsided when his wife tells him that she’s not sure she wants to be married to him anymore and vows to win back the love of his wife and repair his troubled relationship with their son.
First Track from ‘Ozark’ Season 3 Soundtrack Released
Verve Records has released the first track from the soundtrack of the third season of the Netflix original series Ozark. Ben’s Body (Acoustic Version) (from the season finale, All In) is written by series composers Danny Bensi & Saunder Jurriaans (The Gift, The Outsider, Boy Erased, Enemy) who received their first Emmy Award nomination this year for their score from the episode. ‘The Third Day: Summer’ Soundtrack Album Details
Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the HBO limited series The Third Day. The album features the original music from the first part/three episodes of the show, entitled Summer, composed by Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Utopia, The Girl with All the Gifts, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, National Treasure). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 18 and will be available to stream/download here. The Third Day is created by Dennis Kelly & Felix Barrett and stars Jude Law, Naomie Harris, Katherine Waterston, Emily Watson, and Paddy Considine. Summer is directed by Marc Munden and follows a man drawn to a mysterious Island off the British coast, who encounters a group of islanders set on preserving their traditions at any cost.
Mica Levi Scoring Steve McQueen’s ‘Lovers Rock’
Mica Levi (Under the Skin, Jackie, Monos) has composed the original music for the drama Lovers Rock. The film is directed by Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave, Shame, Widows) as part of his anthology series Small Axe and stars Amarah-Jae St. Aubyn, Micheal Ward, Francis Lovehall, Shaniqua Okwok, Ellis George, Kadeem Ramsay, Daniel Francis-Swaby, Kedar Williams-Stirling and Joshua Vine. The movie takes place during a blues party in the early 1980s and tells a story of young love. McQueen also co-wrote the script with Courttia Newland. Levi has also composed the original score for the other installments in the Small Axe series.

MovieScore Media will release a soundtrack album for the British mini-series The Pale Horse. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Mrs. Wilson, This Beautiful Fantastic, Lost Girls, Calibre). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 18 and will be available to stream/download here. The Pale Horse is developed by Sarah Phelps based on Agatha Christie’s novel of the same title and stars Rufus Sewell, Kaya Scodelario, Sean Pertwee, Bertie Carvel, Henry Lloyd-Hughes, Poppy Gilbert, Madeleine Bowyer and Kathy Kiera Clarke.

WM Italy has released the original song Vertigine from the third and final season of the Italian Netflix original series Baby. The track is written and performed by Levante feat. Altarboy (aka Attilio Tucci & Sergio Picciaredda) and is now available as a digital single on Amazon and other digital music services. Baby is executive produced by Marco & Nicola De Angelis and stars Benedetta Porcaroli, Alice Pagani, Riccardo Mandolini, Chabeli Sastre Gonzalez, Brando Pacitto, Lorenzo Zurzolo, Claudia Pandolfi and Galatea Ranzi. The drama follows two teen girls from a wealthy part of Rome as they get drawn to the city’s underworld and start leading double lives.
Gustavo Santaolalla Scoring Hulu’s ‘Monsterland’
Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel, The Motorcycle Diaries, The Book of Life) has recently scored the upcoming Hulu horror anthology series Monsterland. The show is created by Mary Laws (The Neon Demon) based on the collection of stories from Nathan Ballingrud’s North American Lake Monsters and stars Kaitlyn Dever, Taylor Schilling, Mike Colter, Kelly Marie Tran, Jonathan Tucker, Nicole Beharie, Adepero Oduye, Roberta Colindrez, Charlie Tahan and Hamish Linklater. The drama follows a group of broken people driven to desperate acts in an attempt to repair their lives and will feature encounters with mermaids, fallen angels, and a variety of other mythical creatures and horrors.
Netflix’s ‘Challenger: The Final Flight’ to Feature Score by Jeff Beal & Main Titles Theme by Charles Scott IV
Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome, Monk, Pollock, Carnivale, The Biggest Little Farm) has composed the original score for the new Netflix docu-series Challenger: The Final Flight. Charles Scott IV (Sleight, Sweetheart) has written the project’s main titles theme and also provided additional music. The show is directed by Steven Leckart and Daniel Junge (A Lego Brickumentary, Being Evel) and examines the 1986 Challenger space shuttle, which tragically broke apart 73 seconds after launch as millions of Americans watched live on television. The 4-parter features interview with engineers, officials and the crew members’ families.
