Back Lot Music & Universal Television will release a soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Away. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Will Bates (Unbelievable, I Origins, The Magicians, The Looming Tower, Nightflyers). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, September 16 and will be available to stream/download here. Away is created by Andrew Hinderaker and stars Hilary Swank, Josh Charles, Vivian Wu, Mark Ivanir, Ato Essandoh, Ray Panthaki and Talitha Bateman. The sci-fi drama executive produced by Jason Katims, Matt Reeves & Jessica Goldberg revolves around an American astronaut who leaves behind her husband and daughter to lead an international crew of astronauts on a perilous three-year mission to Mars.

‘The Streets of San Francisco’ Soundtrack Album Announced
La-La Land Records has announced the first-ever soundtrack release for the classic 70s series The Streets of San Francisco starring Karl Malden and Michael Douglas as part of the label’s third volume of the Quinn Martin Collection. The album features music from the ABC drama composed by Patrick Williams (Cry-Baby, The Cutting Edge, Columbo, Used Cars, The Toy, Cuba), including the composer’s pilot score and music from nine additional episode. Also included are selections of the composer’s music from the 1979 TV series A Man Called Sloane. The 2-CD set is limited to 2,000 copies and is now available to order in the label’s online store, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples.
Christopher Willis Scoring Disney+ Series ‘The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse’
Disney+ announced today that Christopher Willis is returning to compose the music for the streamer’s upcoming animated shorts series The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse. The show is produced by Disney Television Animation with Paul Rudish (Dexter’s Laboratory, Sym-Bionic Titan) serving as executive producer and supervising director. The series follows Mickey and his best pals – Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto – as they embark on their greatest adventures yet and will include stories inspired by various lands at Disney parks and cameos by classic Disney heritage characters.
‘Oktoberfest: Beer & Blood’ (‘Oktoberfest 1900’) Soundtrack Album Released
2 Lane Records has released a soundtrack album for the German limited series Oktoberfest: Beer & Blood (Oktoberfest 1900). The album features the show’s original score composed by Michael Klaukien (Vares: The Sheriff, Tatort), as well as other music from the drama. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out the full track list. Oktoberfest: Beer & Blood is created by Christian Limmer, Ronny Schalk & Alexis von Wittgenstein, directed by Hannu Salonen and stars Misel Maticevic, Martina Gedeck, Klaus Steinbacher, Mercedes Muller, Maximilian Brückner, Brigitte Hobmeier, Markus Krojer and Martin Feifel. The 6-parter is set in 1900 Munich and follows an ambitious brewer who uses brutal tactics on his quest to build a beer hall that will dominate the city’s lucrative Oktoberfest.

Premiering in the U.S. tonight is the reboot of the classic detective series Van der Valk written by Chris Murray and starring Marc Warren, Maimie McCoy, Elliot Barnes-Worrell, Darrell D’Silva and Emma Fielding. The show’s original music is composed and conducted by Matthijs Kieboom (Wild, Bloody Marie). All3Media has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score earlier this year when the drama premiered in the UK. Premiering tomorrow, September 14, is the HBO limited series The Third Day created by Felix Barrett & Dennis Kelly, directed by Marc Munden and Philippa Lowthorpe and starring Jude Law, Naomie Harris, Katherine Waterston, Paddy Considine, Emily Watson, Nico Parker and Charlotte Gairdner-Mihell. Cristobal Tapia de Veer (Utopia, The Girl with All the Gifts, Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency) and Dickon Hinchliffe (Winter’s Bone, Locke, Out of the Furnace) have composed the show’s original music. Leo Birenberg Scoring Netflix’s ‘Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous’
Leo Birenberg (Cobra Kai, Son of Zorn) has recently been scoring DreamWorks Animation’s new Netflix original series Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous. The show starring Paul-Mikél Williams, Jenna Ortega, Sean Giambrone, Raini Rodriguez, Ryan Potter and Kausar Mohamme follows a group of six teenagers who are invited to attend a state-of-the-art adventure camp on Isla Nublar and must band together to survive when the dinosaurs break out of captivity. Scott Kreamer (Pinky Malinky, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness) and Lane Lueras serve as the project’s showrunners and are also executive producing the DreamWorks Animation, Amblin Entertainment and Legendary Television production with Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall and Colin Trevorrow.
Oli Julian Scoring Netflix’s ‘The Duchess’
Oli Julian (Sex Education, Catastrophe, How to Build a Girl, Episodes, Plebs) is the composer of the new Netflix original series The Duchess. The show is created by Katherine Ryan and stars Ryan herself, Rory Keenan, Katy Byrne, Steen Raskopolous, Michelle de Swarte and Sophie Fletcher. The comedy follows a disruptive single mom living in London as she is trying to juggle her career, her tween daughter, her relationship with her boyfriend – and pondering getting pregnant with her ex.
‘Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge’ Soundtrack Released
Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for Lucasfilm’s game show Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge. The album features the original music from the show composed by Gordy Haab (Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars: Battlefront, Halo Wars 2). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music stores. Star Wars: Jedi Temple Challenge is created by Steve Blank & Scott Bromley, hosted by Ahmed Best and features a group of young contestants as they face tests of ability in the core Jedi principles of strength, knowledge, and bravery while facing obstacles in an attempt to achieve the rank of Jedi Knight.
Soundtrack Albums for DC Universe’s ‘Doom Patrol’ to Be Released
WaterTower Music will release the first two soundtrack albums for the DC Universe original series Doom Patrol. The albums feature selections of the original music from the show’s first two seasons composed by Clint Mansell (Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream, Moon, The Fountain) and Kevin Kiner (Star Wars Rebels & The Clone Wars, Titans, Narcos: Mexico). Christophe Beck & Jeff Morrow Scoring Disney+ Short ‘Once Upon a Snowman’
Christophe Beck & Jeff Morrow have teamed up to score the upcoming Disney+ animated short Once Upon a Snowman. The film is directed by Trent Correy & Dan Abraham and stars Josh Gad as Olaf from the Frozen franchise. The movie follows Olaf’s first steps as he comes to life and searches for his identity in the snowy mountains outside Arendelle. Nicole Hearon and Peter Del Vecho (The Princess and the Frog, Winnie the Pooh) are producing the Walt Disney Animation Studios production.
