Premiering on Tuesday, June 16 is the TNT original series Proof produced by Kyra Sedgwick and starring Jennifer Beals, Matthew Modine, Joe Morton, Callum Blue, Edi Gathegi, Annie Thurman, Sean Gleeson and Caroline Rose Kaplan. The show’s original music is composed by David Buckley (The Good Wife, The Forbidden Kingdom, The Town). Proof follows a skeptical, brilliant female surgeon who has been struggling with the loss of her teenage son and is persuaded to investigate reincarnation, out-of-body experiences, hauntings and other supernatural cases. The only movie opening in wide release this weekend is the action thriller I, Frankenstein written and directed by Stuart Beattie and starring Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto and Jai Courtney. Opening in around 400 theaters is the indie drama Gimme Shelter written and directed by Ron Krauss and starring Vanessa Hudgens, Rosario Dawson, Brendan Fraser, James Earl Jones, Ann Dowd and Dascha Polanco. Olafur Arnalds (Broadchurch, Another Happy Day) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring his score is set to be released next week. Premiering on Tuesday, January 7, is the new CBS drama Intelligence created by Michael Seitzman, executive produced by Tripp Vinson and David Semel and starring Josh Holloway, Meghan Ory, John Billingsley, PJ Byrne, Michael Rady and Marg Helgenberger. The show’s original score is composed by Clinton Shorter (District 9, Contraband, 2 Guns). Reinhold Heil has been hired to score the upcoming Syfy original series Helix. The drama is created by Cameron Porsandeh and stars Billy Campbell, Hiroyuki Sanada, Kyra Zagorsky, Jordan Hayes, Catherine Lemieux, Neil Napier and Mark Ghanime. The show follows a team of scientists from the Centers for Disease Control who travel to a high-tech research facility in the Arctic to investigate a possible disease outbreak, only to find themselves pulled into a life-and-death struggle that may hold the key to mankind’s salvation or total annihilation. Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica, Outlander), Steven Maeda (Lost, The X-Files), and Lynda Obst (Contact) are executive producing the Sony Pictures Television and NBC Universal production. 
Lakeshore Records will release the official score album for the action thriller I, Frankenstein.
