Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 2004 NBC mini-series 10.5 co-written and directed by John Lafia and starring Kim Delaney, Fred Ward, Ivan Sergei, Dulé Hill, John Schneider, Kaley Cuoco, Rebecca Jenkins, David Cubitt, Brian Markinson, John Cassini, Kim Hawthorne and Beau Bridges. The album features the original music from the 2-parter composed by Lee Holdridge (Splash, The Mists of Avalon, The Beastmaster, Old Gringo, Mr. Mom, Oliver’s Story). A limited edition CD is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full track list and listen to audio samples. A digital version is also expected to be released soon.

‘seaQuest DSV’ Deluxe Edition Soundtrack Album Announced
Varese Sarabande has announced a new soundtrack album for the NBC sci-fi drama seaQuest DSV created by Rockne S. O’Bannon, executive produced by Steven Spielberg and starring Roy Scheider, Jonathan Brandis, Stephanie Beacham, Don Franklin and Michael Ironside. The 2-CD set features selections of the show’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, The Jungle Book, Elf, Iron Man 2, Bruce Almighty), including the full score from the pilot on the first disc and music from several other Season 1 episodes on the second disc. seaQuest DSV – The Deluxe Edition is limited to 1,500 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you also listen to audio samples.

Premiering in the U.S. tomorrow, March 23 is the Australian mystery drama Miss Fisher and the Crypt of Tears directed by Tony Tilse and starring Essie Davis, Nathan Page, Miriam Margolyes, Ashleigh Cummings, Hugo Johnstone-Burt, Rupert Penry-Jones, Daniel Lapaine and Jacqueline McKenzie. The film’s original music is composed by Greg J Walker (Newton’s Law) who is also the composer of the Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries TV series. LilliPilli IP has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last month when the movie was released in Australia. Fil Eisler (Revenge, How to Be Single, UnReal, Proud Mary, CHiPs, Life of the Party) is the composer of the new NBC drama Council of Dads. The show is created by Joan Rater & Tony Phelan (Grey’s Anatomy, Doubt) and stars Sarah Wayne Callies, Clive Standen, J. August Richards, Michael O’Neill, Michelle Weaver, Steven Silver, Emjay Anthony, Thalia Tran and Blue Chapman. The series centers on a loving father of five who has his entire life’s plan thrown into upheaval by an unexpected health scare as he calls on a few of his most trusted friends to step in as back-up dads to help guide and support his growing family.

Premiering in the U.S. today is the mini-series War of the Worlds created by Howard Overman based on H.G. Wells’ novel of the same name and starring Gabriel Byrne, Elizabeth McGovern, Léa Drucker, Adel Bencherif, Emilie de Preissac, Natasha Little, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Ty Tennant. The show’s original music is composed by David Martijn (De Dag, The Twelve). The 8-parter, which follows a group of astronomers detect a transmission from another galaxy, premiered in Europe last fall, is making its U.S. debut on Epix. Gabriel Mann is composing the original score for the new NBC drama Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist. Mateo Messina (Juno, Superstore, Women Who Kill) has provided the themes for the show created by Austin Winsberg and starring Jane Levy, Skylar Astin, Alex Newell, John Clarence Stewart, Peter Gallagher and Mary Steenburgen. The series revolves around a whip-smart computer coder in San Francisco who suddenly starts to hear the innermost wants, thoughts and desires of the people around her – her family, co-workers and complete strangers – through popular songs. Harvey Mason Jr. serves as the project’s executive music producer and Jen Ross is the music supervisor.

Richard Marvin (U-571, Surrogates, Six Feet Under, The O.C., Grimm) is composing the original score for the new NBC drama Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector. The show is created by Mark Bianculli & VJ Boyd and stars Russell Hornsby, Arielle Kebbel, Brían F. O’Byrne, Tate Ellington, Courtney Grosbeck, Ramses Jimenez, Brooke Lyons, Roslyn Ruff and Michael Imperioli. The series follows a retired forensic criminologist who teams up with an ambitious young detective to help capture some of the most dangerous criminals in America.
