Mac Quayle is composing the music for the upcoming FX anthology series Feud. The show’s first season, Bette and Joan, centers on the legendary rivalry between Joan Crawford and Bette Davis during the filming of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? and after filming ended. The show is developed by Ryan Murphy (Glee, Nip/Tuck) and stars Jessica Lange as Crawford, Susan Sarandon as Davis, alongside Judy Davis, Jackie Hoffman, Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci and Alison Wright. Sean Callery, Victor Reyes, Mac Quayle & Danny Elfman Win Emmy Awards
The Creative Arts Emmy Awards are being handed out this afternoon at the Microsoft Theatre LA LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles. Sean Callery has won his fourth Emmy Award for the main titles theme for his main titles theme for Netflix’s Jessica Jones. He previously received three Emmys for his work on 24. Victor Reyes was honored with his first Emmy Award in the Music Composition for a Limited Series, Movie or a Special category for his music for AMC’s The Night Manager. Mac Quayle received his first Emmy Award for his music for USA’s Mr. Robot in the Music Composition for a Series category.
‘Autism in Love’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Autism in Love. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story, American Crime Story: The People v O.J. Simpson, Scream Queens). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 10, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out audio clips. Autism in Love directed by Matt Fuller examines the reality of autistic adulthood and shows how the members of this often-misunderstood community cope with the challenge of keeping romance alive. The documentary premiered at last year’s Tribeca Film Festival and aired earlier this year on PBS.
‘Mr. Robot’ Soundtrack Details
The details of the first soundtrack albums for the USA hit series Mr. Robot have been revealed. The albums feature the original music from the show’s first season composed by Mac Quayle (American Crime Story, American Horror Story, Scream Queens). The Season 1 Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 soundtracks will be released digitally on June 3, 2016 and physically a few weeks later. Mr. Robot is created by Sam Esmail and stars Rami Malek, Christian Slate, Portia Doubleday, Martin Wallstrom and Carly Chaikin. The soundtrack is set to be released in the summer of 2016 before the drama’s second season premiere. Mac Quayle to Score FX’s ‘American Crime Story’
Mac Quayle has signed on to score the upcoming FX original limited series American Crime Story. The first season of the show, entitled The People v. O.J. Simpson, is based on the book The Run of His Life: The People v. O.J. Simpson by Jeffrey Toobin and follows the O.J. Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers. The drama’s cast includes Cuba Gooding Jr. as O.J. Simpson, John Travolta, David Schwimmer, Courtney B. Vance as defense attorneys Robert Shapiro, Robert Kardashian as Johnnie Cochran, Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark and Bruce Greenwood as Los Angeles County District Attorney Gil Garcetti. Scott Alexander & Larry Karaszewski (Ed Wood, Big Eyes, The People v. Larry Flynt) have written the scripts.

‘Scream Queens’ Title Song ‘You Belong to Me’ Revealed
Ryan Murphy has published an extended version of the main titles sequence for the new Fox series Scream Queens. The opening titles feature the original song You Belong to Me, which was co-written by the show’s composer Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story: Freak Show & Hotel), singer Heather Heywood and executive producer Alexis Woodall. Opening in most theaters is the comedy sequel Ted 2 directed by Seth MacFarlane and starring Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, Morgan Freeman, Jessica Barth and Giovanni Ribisi. The film’s original music is composed by Walter Murphy (American Dad, Family Guy) who also scored 2012’s original movie. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Mean Ol’ Moon performed by Amanda Seyfriend and Norah Jones in two different version and tracks by Ray Charles, Bone Symphony and John Wilson, Maida Vale Singers & Curtis Stigers.
