La-La Land Records has announced a new 4-CD soundtrack collection for the sci-fi series Star Trek: Enterprise starring Scott Bakula, John Billingsley and Jolene Blalock. The album features selections from the show’s original music written by composers Dennis McCarthy (Star Trek: Generations Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Kevin Kiner (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, CSI: Miami), Jay Chattaway (Star Trek: Voyager), David Bell (Murder, She Wrote), Paul Baillargeon (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine), Velton Ray Bunch (Magnum, P.I., Quantum Leap), Mark McKenzie (The Greatest Miracle), John Frizzell (Alien: Resurrection, The Following) and Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World). Also included is the series’ main titles song from the first season Where My Heart Will Take Me written by Diane Warren and performed by Russell Watson.

‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ TV Series Soundtrack Announced
Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The album features selections from the original score from the show’s seasons 1 through 6 composed by Kevin Kiner (Star Wars Rebels, CSI: Miami, Hell on Wheels). The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 10, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A vinyl version is set to be released on December 6 and is available for pre-order here. Sony Classical has previously released a soundtrack featuring Kiner’s music from the feature version of the series. Star Wars: The Clone Wars premiered in 2008 and the final season aired earlier this year on Cartoon Network.

Kevin Kiner Scoring The CW’s ‘Jane the Virgin’
Kevin Kiner is composing the score for the new CW drama Jane the Virgin. The show is created by Jennie Snyder Urman (Emily Owens MD) based on the Venezuelan telenovela Juana la Virgen and stars Gina Rodriguez, Andrea Navedo, Justin Baldoni, Yael Grobglas, Brett Dier, Ivonne Coll and Jaime Camil. The series follows a hard-working young Latina woman whose family tradition and a vow to save her virginity until her marriage to a detective is shattered when a doctor accidentally artificially inseminates her during a checkup. Snyder Urman is also executive producing the CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television production with Ben Silverman (The Office, Ugly Betty, The Tudors), Gary Pearl, Jorge Granier, as well as Brad Silberling (Casper, Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events) who also directed the pilot episode.
Kevin Kiner to Score ‘Star Wars Rebels’
During this past weekend’s WonderCon in Anaheim, CA, it was revealed that composer Kevin Kiner will be composing the score for the upcoming animated series Star Wars Rebels. The show is set between Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope and takes place in a time when the Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights as a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking shape. The series’ voice cast includes Freddie Prinze, Jr., Taylor Gray, Steve Blum, Tiya Sircar and Vanessa Marshall. Simon Kinberg (X-Men: First Class, Jumper) is executive producing the Lucasfilm Animation production with Dave Filoni and Greg Weisman (Young Justice).
‘Hell on Wheels’ Soundtrack Details
Entertainment One Music will be releasing a soundtrack album for the AMC hit series Hell on Wheels. The album features the show’s main theme composed by Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain, Babel) who has recently received his first Emmy nomination for his work on the show, as well as selections from the series’ score from the first season composed by Kevin Kiner (CSI: Miami, Star Wars: The Clone Wars). The soundtrack will be released on August 7, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes, where you can also check out audio clips from all 34 tracks on the release. Hell on Wheels created by Joe and Tony Gayton (Faster) is set in 1865 and centers on a former Confederate soldier, who is determined to exact revenge on the Union soldiers who murdered his wife. The series stars Anson Mount, Common, Dominique McElligott, Colm Meaney, Tom Noonan, Ben Esler, Phil Burke and Eddie Spears.

In our sixth and final part of our fall television series, we are taking a look at the major new shows on the cable networks:
One of this fall’s most talked about new shows is American Horror Story created by Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk and starring Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton, Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga and Denis O’Hare. The series has recently received two Golden Globe nominations for Best TV Drama and for Lange’s performance. The show’s score is composed by James Levine who has worked on most of Murphy’s projects in the last decade, including Nip/Tuck, Glee and the feature film Running with Scissors. The drama has also been using a lot of pre-existing score music from composers such as Bernard Herrmann and Alan Silvestri. The series stars Anson Mount, Common, Dominique McElligott, Colm Meaney, Ben Esler, Philip Burke and Eddie Spears. Kiner is best known for scoring the long running CBS crime drama CSI: Miami, as well as the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and its feature film version. Hell on Wheels premieres tomorrow, November 6 and its first season of 10 episodes will be airing every Sunday night on AMC.
