Hollywood Records will release the first score album for the FX original series American Horror Story. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s thirteenth season composed by Emmy Award winner Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, Leave the World Behind, His & Hers, Feud: Bette and Joan, American Crime Story, Monster: The Ed Gein Story, The Beauty, Dark Matter, Gaslit). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 29 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Mac Quayle Scoring ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’
Mac Quayle is the new composer of the FX hit series American Horror Story. The composer is currently scoring the fourth season of the show, entitled Freak Show. The horror drama is created Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk and stars Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Michael Chiklis, Frances Conroy, Denis O’Hare, Emma Roberts, Finn Wittrock, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates and Jessica Lange. Among the guest stars this season are Wes Bentley and Matt Bomer. Freak Show is set in 1952 Jupiter, Florida and tells the story of one of the last remaining freak shows in America, and their struggle for survival.

In our sixth and final part of our fall television series, we are taking a look at the major new shows on the cable networks:
One of this fall’s most talked about new shows is American Horror Story created by Ryan Murphy & Brad Falchuk and starring Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton, Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Taissa Farmiga and Denis O’Hare. The series has recently received two Golden Globe nominations for Best TV Drama and for Lange’s performance. The show’s score is composed by James Levine who has worked on most of Murphy’s projects in the last decade, including Nip/Tuck, Glee and the feature film Running with Scissors. The drama has also been using a lot of pre-existing score music from composers such as Bernard Herrmann and Alan Silvestri.
