Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album for the FX on Hulu original series Y: The Last Man. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Herdís Stefánsdóttir (The Sun Is Also a Star, We’re Here, South Mountain). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon (and any other major digital music services), where you can also check out audio samples. Y: The Last Man is developed by Eliza Clark based on Brian K. Vaughan’s & Pia Guerra’s DC Comics/Vertigo series and stars Diane Lane, Ben Schnetzer, Olivia Thirlby, Ashley Romans, Diana Bang, Marin Ireland, Juliana Canfield, Amber Tamblyn and Elliot Fletcher.

Dustin O’Halloran & Herdís Stefánsdóttir to Score Benjamin Cleary’s ‘Swan Song’
Dustin O’Hallloran (Lion, Like Crazy, Transparent, The Old Guard, Ammonite, The Hate U Give) & Herdís Stefánsdóttir (The Sun Is Also a Star, We’re Here) have signed on to score the upcoming drama Swan Song. The film is written and directed by Benjamin Cleary (Stutterer) and stars Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris, Awkwafina, Glenn Close and Adam Beach. The movie is set in the near future and follows a loving husband and father who is diagnosed with a terminal illness and is being presented with a controversial alternative solution to replace himself with a carbon copy clone.

Herdís Stefánsdóttir (The Sun Is Also a Star, We’re Here, South Mountain) has signed on to score the upcoming FX on Hulu original series Y: The Last Man. The show is based on the DC Comics/Vertigo book series of the same title by Brian K. Vaughan & Pia Guerra and stars Diane Lane, Ben Schnetzer, Ashley Romans, Olivia Thirlby, Juliana Canfield, Marin Ireland, Amber Tamblyn and Elliot Fletcher. The drama is set in a post-apocalyptic world, in which a cataclysmic event decimates every mammal with a Y chromosome with the exception of a cisgender man and his pet monkey and follows the survivors in this new world as they struggle with their efforts to restore what was lost and the opportunity to build something better.

Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the HBO unscripted series We’re Here. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Herdís Stefánsdóttir (The Sun Is Also a Star, South Mountain). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and other digital music services. We’re Here is created by Steve Warren & Johnnie Ingram and follows a group of small-town residents as they’re recruited and trained (by Bob the Drag Queen, Shangela Laquifa Wadley & Eureka O’Hara) to participate in a one-night only drag performance.

Opening in most theaters is the action sequel John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum directed by Chad Stahelski and starring Keanu Reeves, Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Mark Dacascos, Anjelica Huston, Jason Mantzoukas and Ian McShane. The film’s original music is composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, 300, Watchmen, The Punisher) & Joel J. Richard (John Wick 1 & 2). Herdís Stefánsdóttir to Score Ry Russo-Young’s ‘The Sun Is Also a Star’
Herdís Stefánsdóttir has been hired to score the upcoming romantic drama The Sun Is Also a Star. The film is directed by Ry Russo-Young (Before I Fall, Nobody Walks) and stars Yara Shahidi, Charles Melton, Cathy Shim and Miriam A. Hyman. The movie is based on the bestselling YA novel by Nicola Yoon (Everything, Everything) and centers on a girl in New York City whose pragmatism is challenged when she falls in love right before her family is set to be deported back to Jamaica. Tracy Oliver (Girls Trip, Barbershop: The Next Cut) wrote the screenplay.
