Sacha Galperine & Evgueni Galperine (The Undoing, Radioactive, The Family, Loveless, Wizard of Lies) are the composers of the new HBO limited series Scenes from a Marriage. The show is written and directed by Hagai Levi (The Affair, In Treatment) and stars Jessica Chastain and Oscar Isaac. The 5-part drama is based on Ingmar Bergman’s classic Swedish series and centers on the relationship between a confident, ambitious tech executive left unfulfilled by her marriage, and a cerebral and accommodating philosophy professor desperate to keep their relationship intact. Levi, Chastain & Isaac are also executive producing the project with Michael Ellenberg (The Morning Show), Lars Blomgren (The Bridge, The Tunnel), Amy Herzog, Daniel Bergman (Sunday’s Children) and M. Blair Breard (The Half of It, Baskets). Scenes from a Marriage will premiere on September 12 on HBO and will also be available to stream on HBO Max.

The composers’ other recent projects include Audrey Diwan’s Happening (L’événement), which will premiere next week at the 2021 Venice Film Festival and Antoneta Alamat Kusijanovic’s Marina, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Directors’ Fortnight and will screen next month at the 2021 Toronto Film Festival.
