Max Richter (The Leftovers, Taboo, Waltz with Bashir, Hostiles).has composed the original music for the upcoming HBO and RAI original series My Brilliant Friend (L’amica geniale). The show is co-written and directed by Saverio Costanzo (Private, The Solitude of Prime Numbers, Hungry Hearts) and stars Elisa Del Genio, Ludovica Nasti, Margherita Mazzucco and Gaia Girace. The drama is based on Elena Ferrante’s bestselling book of the same name and tells the story of a now-elderly woman who discovers the most important friend in her life seems to have disappeared without a trace.

The movie tells the the story of an underachiever working at a major weapons manufacturing firm who finds that his co-workers have been “weaponized” by a new energy drink designed for the military. The comedy is premiering in the U.S. exclusively on Crackle.

Premiering tonight is the HBO limited series Sharp Objects developed by Marti Noxon based on the novel of the same title by Gillian Flynn, directed by Jean-Marc Valle and starring Amy Adams, Patricia Clarkson, Chris Messina, Eliza Scanlen, Elizabeth Perkins, and Matt Craven. The show doesn’t feature an original score. Susan Jacobs who previously collaborated with Vallee on HBO’s Big Little Lies serves as the project’s music supervisor. The series follows a reporter who confronts the psychological demons from her past when she returns to her hometown to cover a violent murder. Premiering on Friday, July 13, is the Netflix original movie How It Ends directed by David M. Rosenthal and starring Theo James, Forest Whitaker and Kat Graham. ‘Westworld’ Season 2 Soundtrack Album Released
WaterTower Music has released the second soundtrack album for the HBO original series Westworld. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones, Iron Man, Pacific Rim, A Wrinkle in Time, The Great Wall, Warcraft). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The label has previously released a soundtrack album for the first season, as well as several digital singles featuring Djawadi’s covers of Seven Nation Army, Paint It, Black and C.R.E.A.M.. Westworld is created by Jonathan Nolan & Lisa Joy based on Michael Crichton’s 1973 feature and stars Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Thandie Newton, Tessa Thompson, and Sidse Babett Knudsen.

Interscope Records has released the original song Skipping Stones from the documentary Believer. The track is written by Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds and Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Inception, Gladiator, The Dark Knight) who also composed the original score for the film. ‘The Tale’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the HBO original movie The Tale. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ariel Marx (To Dust). Also included is the song Wait On Me by Samora Pinderhughes & Common. The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes/stream on Apple Music and will added to Amazon and other digital music stores next Friday, June 8. The Tale is written and directed by Jennifer Fox and stars Laura Dern, Isabelle Nélisse, Jason Ritter, Elizabeth Debicki, Ellen Burstyn and Common. The movie is based on Fox’s own life and follows a professor and documentary filmmaker who is a survivor of sexual abuse and recalls what happened to her when she was 13.

Touch Sensitive will release a soundtrack album for the HBO original series Mosaic. The album features the show’s original music composed by David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight, Haywire, Logan Lucky, Killing Eve, Analyze That). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on July 27, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples.
