Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury (Ex Machina, Annihilation, Free Fire) have been tapped to score the upcoming Amazon original series Hanna. The show is developed by David Farr (The Night Manager, Troy: Fall of a City) and stars Mireille Enos, Joel Kinnaman and Esme Creed-Miles. The drama is based on Joe Wright’s 2011 feature, which was co-written by Farr and scored by The Chemical Brothers, and follows the journey of a young girl as she evades the relentless pursuit of an off-book CIA agent and tries to unearth the truth behind who she is.

Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury Scoring Julius Onah’s ‘Luce’
Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury (Ex Machina, Annihilation, Free Fire) have recently composed the music for the upcoming drama Luce. The film is directed by Julius Onah (The Cloverfield Paradox) and stars Kelvin Harrison Jr., Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer and Tim Roth. The movie is based on J.C. Lee’s play of the same title and revolves around an African teenager and former child soldier living in a suburb and his relationship to a teacher who becomes aware of his views on political violence. Onah also co-wrote the screenplay with Lee and is producing the project with John Baker (Frank & Lola) and Andrew Yang.

‘Annihilation’ Soundtrack Details
The full details of the soundtrack album for Alex Garland’s sci-fi thriller Annihilation have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow (Free Fire) who previously scored the director’s 2015 feature Ex Machina. The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 23, 2018 by Lakeshore Records in the U.S. and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A vinyl version is also in the works. Annihilation is written and directed by Garland and stars Natalie Portman, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodgriguez, Tessa Thompson, Tuva Novotny and Oscar Isaac. The movie is based on Jeff VanderMeer’s best-selling Southern Reach Trilogy and follows a biologist who embarks on a four-person expedition into a territory cut off from civilization while searching for clues about her husband’s disappearance.

‘Free Fire’ Soundtrack Announced
Lakeshore Records, in conjuction with Invada Records, will release the official soundtrack album for Ben Wheatley’s action comedy Free Fire. The album features the film’s full original score composed by Geoff Barrow & Ben Salisbury (Ex Machina). Also included are the songs from the movie The Real Kids, Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Denver & more, as well as dialogue from the film. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, March 31 and will be available to download here. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD version, which is set to come out in early May. Free Fire is co-written and directed by Wheatley and stars Brie Larson, Armie Hammer and Cillian Murphy.

Premiering tomorrow, October 24, is the new CBS comedy Man with a Plan created by Jackie & Jeff Filgo (That 70’s Show) and starring Matt LeBlanc, Liza Snyder, Kevin Nealon, Diana Maria Riva, Matt Cook and Jessica Chaffi. The show’s original music is composed by John Kimbrough (Winter Passing, Jump Tomorrow, A Decade Under the Influence). The series follows a contractor who must take on a more active parenting role when his wife goes back to work for the first time in 13 years. The comedy will air every Monday night on CBS. Premiering on Thursday, October 27, is the new CBS comedy The Great Indoors created by Mike Gibbons and starring Joel McHale, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Susannah Fielding, Christine Ko, Shaun Brown, Stephen Fry and Chris Williams. The series revolves around an adventure reporter who, after being sidelined by an injury, suddenly finds himself in his magazine’s digital/social media department, where he must manage a group of millennials. Invada Records will release a soundtrack album for the sci-fi anthology series Black Mirror. The album features the music from the episode Men Against Fire from the new season composed by Ben Salisbury & Portishead member Geoff Barrow (Ex Machina, Free Fire). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 21. The Men Against Fire episode is directed by Jacob Verbruggen, written by Charlie Brooker and starring Malachi Kirby, Michael Kelly, Madeline Brewer and Sarah Snook follows two future soldiers who must protect frightened villagers from an infestation of vicious feral mutants. The new Black Mirror season will premiere this Friday on Netflix.
