Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the FX original series Legion. The album features the show’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Jeff Russo (Fargo, The Night Of, Power). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 24 and physically on March 24. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD. A vinyl release is also in the works. Legion is created by Noah Hawley (Fargo) based on the Marvel Comics and stars Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Aubrey Plaza, Jeremie Harris, Amber Midthunder, Katie Aselton and Bill Irwin. The series centers on a troubled young man struggling with mental illness who encounters a fellow patient, when he is confronted with the possibility that the voices he hears and the visions he sees might be real.

Mac Quayle Scoring FX’s ‘Feud’
Mac Quayle is composing the music for the upcoming FX anthology series Feud. The show’s first season, Bette and Joan, centers on the legendary rivalry between Joan Crawford and Bette Davis during the filming of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? and after filming ended. The show is developed by Ryan Murphy (Glee, Nip/Tuck) and stars Jessica Lange as Crawford, Susan Sarandon as Davis, alongside Judy Davis, Jackie Hoffman, Alfred Molina, Stanley Tucci and Alison Wright. Premiering tonight is the Fox drama 24: Legacy executive produced by Howard Gordon, Brian Grazer, Evan Katz, Manny Coto, Stephen Hopkins & Kiefer Sutherland and starring Corey Hawkins, Miranda Otto, Jimmy Smits, Teddy Sears, Dan Bucatinsky, Anna Diop and Ashley Thomas. Sean Callery (Homeland, Bones, Jessica Jones) who has scored all episodes of the original 24 series returns as the new show’s composer. Premiering tomorrow, February 6, is the new Fox drama APB created by David Slack, Matt Nix & Trey Callaway and starring Justin Kirk, Natalie Martinez, Caitlin Stasey, Ernie Hudson, Taylor Handley and Tamberla Perry. The show’s original music is composed Jon Ehrlich (House, Parenthood, White Collar, Goliath, Pitch). (Premiering on Tuesday, January 10, is the FX mini-series Taboo created by Steven Knight and starring Tom Hardy, Oona Chaplin, David Hayman, Michael Kelly, Franka Potente and Jonathan Pryce. Max Richter (The Leftovers, Waltz with Bashir, Miss Sloane, Disconnect, Testament of Youth) has composed the original music for the 8-parter. Premiering on Thursday, January 12, is the Crackle original movie Mad Families directed by Fred Wolf and starring Charlie Sheen, Leah Remini, Finesse Mitchell, Juan Gabriel Pareja, Charlotte McKinney, Naya Rivera, Chris Mulkey, Lil Rel Howery, Tiffany Haddish, Clint Howard, Chanel Iman, Barry Shabaka Henley, Efren Ramirez and Danny Mora. Max Richter Scoring ‘The Sense of an Ending’ & FX’s ‘Taboo’
Max Richter has composed the music for the upcoming drama The Sense of an Ending. The film is directed by Ritesh Batra and stars Jim Broadbent, Charlotte Rampling, Michelle Dockery, Emily Mortimer, Harriet Walter and Edward Holcroft. The movie is based on Julian Barnes’ Man Booker Prize-winning novel of the same title and follows a man who becomes haunted by his past and is presented with a mysterious legacy that causes him to re-think his current situation in life. Nick Payne has written the screenplay. Ed Rubin and David Thompson (Woman in Gold, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) are producing the project.

Premiering tonight is the new Fox comedy Son of Zorn created by Reed Agnew & Eli Jorne and starring Johnny Pemberton, Cheryl Hines, Tim Meadows, as well as Jason Sudeikis as the voice of Zorn. The show’s original music is composed by Leo Birenberg (Red Army, Big Time in Hollywood, FL). Also premiering tonight in the U.S. is the television movie Churchill’s Secret directed by Charles Sturridge and starring Michael Gambon, Lindsay Duncan, Romola Garai, Matthew Macfayden, Bill Paterson, Daisy Lewis, Tara Fitzgerald, James Wilby and Rachel Stirling. Jeff Russo to Score Syfy’s ‘Channel Zero’
Jeff Russo is set to score the upcoming Syfy original series Channel Zero. The show is created by Nick Antosca (The Forest) based on Kris Straub’s online short story and will star Paul Schneider, Fiona Shaw, Shaun Benson, Natalie Brown and Luisa D’Oliveira. The anthology series centers on one man’s obsessive recollection of a mysterious children’s television program from the 1980s – and his ever-growing suspicions about the role it might have played in a series of nightmarish and deadly events from his childhood. Craig William Macneill (The Boy) will direct all episodes of the first season. Antosca is also executive producing the Universal Cable production with Max Landis (Chronicle, American Ultra, Victor Frankenstein).
Songs from FX’s ‘Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll’ Season 2 to Be Released
FX Networks will release several new songs from the second season of the FX original series Sex& Drugs& Rock&Roll. To be released on June 30 are the tracks Ain’t No Valentine performed by the early 90’s New York band from the show called The Assassins (feat. Elizabeth Gillies), as well as Hush performed by Ava X & Liza Colby. A week later, July 7, sees the release of the songs Liar & Go Funk Yourself performed by The Davvy O’s & Rebecca Naomi Jones. On July 14, FX will release the track Don’t Break Me Too and two weeks later, Just Le Me Go, both performed by The Assassins (feat. Elizabeth Gillies). Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll is created by Denis Leary (Rescue Me) who also stars in the series alongside John Corbett, Elizabeth Gillies, Elaine Hendrix and Bobby Kelly.
FX’s ‘Atlanta’ to Feature Music by Ludwig Goransson
Ludwig Goransson is set to compose the original music for the upcoming FX original series Atlanta. The show is created by Donald Glover who also stars in the show alongside Brian Tyree Henry, LaKeith Lee Stanfield, Zazie Beetz and Bret E. Benson. The comedy revolves around two cousins on their way up through the Atlanta rap scene whose opposing views on art versus commerce, success and race will make their quest anything but easy. Glover is also executive producing the project with Paul Simms (Girls, Divorce) for FX Prods. and Dianne McGunigle for MGMT Entertainment.
‘Fargo’ Season 2 Score Album Details
The details of the score soundtrack album for Year 2 of the FX original series Fargo have been revealed. The album features selections from the original music for the show’s second season composed by Jeff Russo (Power, Tut, CSI: Cyber, The Returned). The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 25, 2016 by Sony Classical and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. As previously reported, the label will also release a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the show’s second season on the same day. Sony Classical has previously also released a soundtrack featuring Russo’s music from the first season. Fargo Season 2 is created by Noah Hawley and stars Kirsten Dunst, Patrick Wilson, Jesse Plemons, Jean Smart and Ted Danson.
