Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the superhero movie Morbius directed by Daniel Espinosa and starring Jared Leto, Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Al Madrigal, Jared Harris and Tyrese Gibson. The film’s original music is composed by Jon Ekstrand (Life, Child 44, Easy Money, Borg vs. McEnroe, Queen of Hearts, I Am Greta). A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score will be released next week by Madison Gate Records. The full album details will be announced soon. Opening in select theaters this weekend is the supernatural horror movie You Won’t Be Alone written and directed by Goran Stolevski and starring Noomi Rapace, Anamaria Marinca, Sara Klimoska, Alice Englert, Carloto Cotta and Félix Maritaud. Mark Bradshaw (Top of the Lake, Bright Star, Resistance, The Daughter) has composed the film’s original music. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Interscope Records has released the original song Wings of Stone from the new Netflix original film The Bubble. The track written by the movie’s director Judd Apatow, Josh Klinghoffer, Andrew Watt, Louis Bell & Dan Bern and performed by Adam Levine is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Hans Zimmer Scoring Apple TV+’s ‘Prehistoric Planet’

Hans Zimmer is composing original music for the upcoming Apple TV+ natural history series Prehistoric Planet. The composer is co-scoring the show with Anze Rozman (The Planets, Universe) and Kara Talve (Perpetual Planet: Heroes of the Oceans) for Bleeding Fingers Music. He also co-wrote the series’ theme with Andrew Christie (The Flood) for Bleeding Fingers Music. The 5-part documentary is narrated by Sir David Attenborough and recreates the last days of the dinosaurs and uses CGI to take viewers back in time, experiencing the wonders of planet Earth 66 million years ago. Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Mandalorian, The Jungle Book) and Mike Gunton (Dynasties, The Green Planet) are executive producing the project from BBC Studios’ Bristol-based Natural History Unit. John Williams’ & Yo-Yo Ma’s ‘A Gathering of Friends’ Album Announced

Sony Classical has announced the album A Gathering of Friends, an all-new recording of two concert works by Academy Award winner John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone) written for cellist Yo-Yo Ma. Also included are selections of Williams’ film scores from Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List, Lincoln and Munich conducted by the composer himself and performed by the New York Philharmonic. The recording also includes special appearances by the Spanish guitarist Pablo Sáinz-Villegas and harpist Jessica Zhou. The album w ill be released digitally and physically on May 20 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Theme from Schindler’s List) is already available to stream/download now. Polydor Records has released the theme song from the new Apple TV+ original series Slow Horses. The track, entitled Strange Game, is performed by Mick Jagger who also co-wrote the track with the show’s composer Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Steve Jobs, Enola Holmes, The Trial of the Chicago 7). The song is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms (including Apple Music and Amazon). Also check out the official lyric video below. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alex Baranowski (The Windmere Children, A Christmas Carol, A Perfect Enemy, Staged). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. True Things is co-written and directed by Harry Wootliff and stars Ruth Wilson, Tom Burke and Hayley Squires. The movie is based on Deborah Kay Davies’ novel True Things About Me and revolves around a woman who is sleep-walking through life when a chance sexual encounter with a charismatic stranger awakens her. Deadline is reporting that novelist Richard Mason (The Drowning People, The Lighted Rooms) and Christopher Read will compose the original music for the Hulu musical drama pilot History of a Pleasure Seeker. The show written by Mason based on his 2012 book of the same name is set in early 20th Century Amsterdam and tells the story of a charismatic young man’s explosive adventures through all the temptations of the Belle Époque.
