Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the Starz original series Outlander. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s sixth season composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Child’s Play, Battlestar Galactica, Foundation, Happy Death Day). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, March 4 (click here to stream/download). A CD version is set to come out on April 15 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Check out the music video for a new Gaelic Version of The Skye Boat Song created for the album and featuring vocals by Griogair Labhruidh below. Steven Price (Gravity, Our Planet, Last Night in Soho, Suicide Squad, Baby Driver, Fury, Over the Moon) has recently been scoring the upcoming romantic drama My Policeman. The film is directed by Michael Grandage (Genius) and stars Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, Gina McKee, Linus Roache, David Dawson and Rupert Everett. The movie based on the novel of the same title by Bethan Roberts takes place in the late 1990s, when the arrival of elderly invalid Patrick into Marion and Tom’s home triggers the exploration of seismic events from 40 years previous: the passionate relationship between Tom and Patrick at a time when homosexuality was illegal. The film starring Viola Davis, Thuso Mbedu, Lashana Lynch and John Boyega is set in Africa’s Kingdom of Dahomey and tells the story of Nanisca, the general of the all-female military unit, and Nawi, an ambitious recruit, who together fought enemies who who violated their honor and enslaved their people. ‘The Power of the Dog’ in Concert Live-to-Screen Performance Announced

Netflix has announced the world premiere live-to-screen performance of the Academy Award-nominated score composed by Jonny Greenwood (Phantom Thread, There Will Be Blood, Inherent Vice, Spencer) from Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog. The music will be performed by the Wordless Music Orchestra, which has previously been involved in live-to-picture concerts for films including Moonlight, Jackie, The Tree of Life, Creed, Punch-Drunk Love, Birdman and Beasts of the Southern Wild. The event present by Netflix in partnership with KCRW will take on March 10 at 7:30pm at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles.
