Singer/songwriter James Righton (of the former new rave band Klaxons) is set to score the upcoming comedy Maria. The film is written and directed by Simon Amstell and will star Felicity Jones, Jonathan Bailey and Jason Isaacs. The movie follows a young woman with a history of running from reality who spots an opportunity to feel young, free and desirable at her father’s wedding, where she meets her new stepbrother. Louise Palmkvist Hansen (90 Minutes) is producing the project for EMU Films. Righton has previously scored Amstell’s last feature, Benjamin. Maria is set to shoot in the UK and in the U.S. this fall.
