James Righton (of the former new rave band Klaxons) (Benjamin, I’ll Be Right There, Daddy Issues, Untold: The Liver King, Just Sing) is the composer of the new ITV drama Adultery. The show is created by Danny Brocklehurst (Brassic, Fool Me Once) and stars Dominic Cooper, Romola Garai, Leila Khan, Johnny Sanpher, Matthew McNulty, Shelley Conn, Andrew Knott, James Murray and Charley Webb. The 6-part series follows two married parents who embark on an intense illicit affair after their teenage children begin dating, threatening to tear both of their families apart.

Weekly Film Music Roundup (April 24, 2026)
Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the biographical musical drama Michael directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Jaafar Jackson, Nia Long, Miles Teller, Laura Harrier, Juliano Krue Valdi and Colman Domingo. Daddy Issues is created by Danielle Ward and stars Aimee Lou Wood, David Morrissey and David Fynn. The series revolves around a 24 year-old Gemma woman who iscovers she’s pregnant after a random hook-up and has no choice but to turn to her hapless father Malcolm for support.

Singer/songwriter James Righton (of the former new rave band Klaxons) is set to score the upcoming comedy Maria. The film is written and directed by Simon Amstell and will star Felicity Jones, Jonathan Bailey and Jason Isaacs. The movie follows a young woman with a history of running from reality who spots an opportunity to feel young, free and desirable at her father’s wedding, where she meets her new stepbrother. Louise Palmkvist Hansen (90 Minutes) is producing the project for EMU Films.
