Brainfeeder has released the original song Mudhole from the Hong Kong action movie The Furious. The track written and performed by Flying Lotus‘ new rap alter ego Captain Murphy and featuring production by Little Snake is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the song after the jump. The Furious is directed by Kenji Tanigaki and stars Xie Miao, Joe Taslim, Yang Enyou, Joey Iwanaga and Brian Le. The movie premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and will be released in U.S. theaters on June 12 by Lionsgate.

‘Ash’ Soundtrack Album Details
The full details of the soundtrack album for the sci-fi/horror thriller Ash have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Flying Lotus (Imperial Dreams, Yasuke, Perfect, An Oversimplification of Her Beauty) who also directed and stars in the movie. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 19 by Milan Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. As previously reported, the first track has already been released as a digital single today. Ash is directed by Flying Lotus also stars Eiza González, Aaron Paul, Iko Uwais, Kate E;liot and Beulah Koale. The movie is set on the mysterious titular planet and follows a woman who awakens to find her crew slaughtered. When a man arrives to rescue her, they must decide if they can trust one another to survive.

Warp Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the music from the segment Ozzy’s Dungeon of the horror anthology film V/H/S/99. Warp Records has released the main title theme from the Apple TV+ original docuseries They Call Me Magic. The track is written by Flying Lotus and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. They Call Me Magic is directed by Rick Famuyiwa and explores Earvin “Magic” Johnson’s journey from being the face of the LA Lakers and cementing himself as an all-time NBA legend, to changing the conversation around HIV and transforming into a successful entrepreneur and activist.

The details of the full soundtrack album for the new Netflix anime series Yasuke have been revealed. The album features selection of the original music from the show composed by Flying Lotus (Imperial Dreams, Perfect, An Oversimplification of Her Beauty) The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 30 and will be available to stream/download here. A CD & vinyl edition will be coming out on September 24 and is available to order on Amazon. The label has previously released the opening titles and closing credits music earlier this month. Warp Records has released the opening theme and closing credits music from the new Netflix anime series Yasuke. Black Gold (feat. Thundercat) and Between Memories (feat. Niki Randa) are written by the show’s composer Flying Lotus and are now available to stream/download as a digital single on Amazon and other digital music outlets. Yasuke is created by LeSean Thomas and stars LaKeith Stanfield as the voice of the title character, alongside Takehiro Hira, Maya Tanida, Ian Chen, Gwendoline Yeo, Ming-Na Wen, Noshir Dalal, Paul Nakauchi, Darren Criss and Dia Frampton. The series tells the story of a samurai warrior of African descent in a fantastical alternate universe version of feudal Japan full of magic, mechs, and of course, swordplay.
Flying Lotus to Score Netflix’s ‘Yasuke’
Netflix has announced that Flying Lotus will be composing the music for the upcoming Netflix anime series Yasuke. The show is created by LeSean Thomas (The Boondocks, Cannon Busters) and centers on a retired ronin (voiced by Lakeith Stanfield) who must take up his sword when he is charged with the task of transporting a mysterious child who dark forces want to eliminate. Flying Lotus and Thomas are also executive producing the project for the anime studio MAPPA (Yuri On Ice, Kakegurui).
