Plaza Mayor Company will release the first-ever soundtrack album for the fantasy adventure Age of the Dragons. The album features the film’s original music composed by J Bateman (Saints and Soldiers, The Swan Princess series, Forever Strong, Christmas Break-In, Skinwalker Ranch). The soundtrack will be released digitally on February 4, 2022 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Age of the Dragons is directed by Ryan Little and stars Danny Glover, Vinnie Jones, Corey Sevier, Larry Bagby and Kepa Kruse. The movie is based on Herman Melville’s classic novel Moby Dick and tells the story of Captain Ahab and his legendary crew as they seek and destroy the one great white dragon for slaughtering his family and leaving him badly burned. Pinar Toprak (Captain Marvel, Stargirl, Us Again, Krypton,McMillions, The Angel) has signed on to score the upcoming Netflix original film Slumberland. The movie is directed by Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire & Mockingjay, I Am Legend) and stars Jason Momoa, Kyle Chandler, Chris O’Dowd, Marlow Barkley, Weruche Opia and India de Beaufort. The fantasy adventure is inspired by the comic book strip Little Nemo in Slumberland by Winsor McCay and revolves around a young girl who discovers a secret map to the dreamworld of Slumberland and traverses through dreams and flees nightmares, with the hope to see her late father again. Polydor Records has released a soundtrack album for the French drama Waiting for Bojangles (En attendant Bojangles). The album features the film’s original music composed by Olivier & Clare Manchon (Black Box, Colliding Dreams, The Drummer, Deceptive Practice: The Mysteries and Mentors of Ricky Jay). Also included is a song by Lola Flores, as well as Marlon Williams’ cover of Jerry Jeff Walker’s Mr. Bojangles arranged by Clare & Olivier Manchon (listen to the track after the jump). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. A CD version is also being released overseas this Friday. The soundtrack will be released digitally next Friday, January 14 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Simple as Water directed by Megan Mylan (Lost Boys of Sudan, Smile Pinki) was filmed over the course of five years in five countries including Turkey, Greece, Germany, Syria and the US and explores the impact of war, separation, and displacement and takes audiences into Syrian families’ quests for normalcy and building a new life. The evening will be hosted by Darren Criss will include musical performances from Grammy-nominated singers/songwriters Abigail Barlow & Emily Bear (Bridgerton: The Unofficial Musica;), Grammy winner Judith Hill, and more.
