Premiering on Thursday, July 21, is the HBO Max original series Rap Sh!t created by Issa Rae and starring Aida Osman, Jonica Booth, KaMillion, Devon Terrell and RJ Cyler. The show’s original music is composed by Devonté Hynes (aka Blood Orange) (Queen & Slim, Passing, We Are Who We Are, Mainstream, Palo Alto, In Treatment). Also premiering in the U.S. on Thursday is the British mini-series Showtrial created by Ben Richards and starring Tracy Ifeachor, Celine Buckens, Sharon D. Clarke, Sinead Keenan, Lolita Chakrabarti and Kerr Logan. Samuel Sim (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance, The Spanish Princess, Domina, The Halcyon) has composed the show’s original music. Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last fall when the drama premiered in the UK on BBC One.
