Premiering in the U.S. on Wednesday, July 6, is the natural history series The Green Planet narrated by David Attenborough and executive produced by Michael Gunton. The show’s original music is composed by Benji Merrison (SAS: Red Notice, General Magic) & Will Slater (Dynasties). Silva Screen Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score this past April. Check out our soundtrack announcement for the full album details and to learn more about the series, which premiered in the UK earlier this year on BBC One and is making its U.S. debut on PBS.

Premiering on Friday, July 8, is the Apple TV+ limited series Black Bird developed by Dennis Lehane and starring Taron Egerton, Paul Walter Hauser, Greg Kinnear, Sepideh Moafi and Ray Liotta. The Scottish post-rock band Mogwai (ZeroZeroZero, The Returned, Kin) has composed the show’s original music. ‘Neptune Frost’ Soundtrack Album Released

FADER Distribution has released a soundtrack album for the sci-fi musical Neptune Frost. The album, entitled Unanimous Goldmine, features the film’s original music composed by the movie’s writer/co-director Saul Williams (Akilla’s Escape, A Midsummer Night’s Dream). Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the soundtrack. A limited vinyl edition is also in the works. Neptune Frost is directed by Williams & Anisia Uzeyman and stars Cheryl Isheja, Bertrand “Kaya Free” Ninteretse, Eliane Umuhire, Tresor Niyangabo, Rebecca Mucyo, Elvis Ngabo, Eric “1key” Ngangare, Dorcy Rugamba and Cecile Kayirebwa. The movie is set in past-, future- and present-day Rwanda, in the afterlife of the nation’s civil war, and centers on a cosmic romance between an intersex hacker and a coltan miner. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the animated feature Minions: The Rise of Gru directed by Kyle Balda and starring Steve Carell, Taraji P. Henson, Michelle Yeoh, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Julie Andrews and Alan Arkin. The film’s original score is composed by Heitor Pereira (Despicable Me, The Angry Birds Movie, Smallfoot, The Smurfs). Decca Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the movie by artists such as Diana Ross ft. Also opening wide is the romantic comedy Mr. Malcolm’s List directed by Emma Holly Jones and starring Freida Pinto, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Zawe Ashton, Ashley Park and Theo James. Amelia Warner (Mary Shelley, Wild Mountain Thyme, Mum’s List) has composed the film’s original music. Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Walt Disney Records has released the first song from the soundtrack for the Disney+/Disney Channel original movie Zombies 3. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms is Alien Invasion written by Antonina Armato, Tim James, Thomas Armato Sturges & Adam Schmalholz and performed by the film’s cast. Also check out the official music video below. A full soundtrack album featuring all original songs from the movie will be released digitally and physically on July 15. Remastered ‘Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Quartet Records has release a new version of the expanded soundtrack album for the 1974 western Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia directed by Sam Peckinpah and starring Warren Oates, Isela Vega, Robert Webber, Gig Young, Emilio Fernández, Helmut Dantine and Kris Kristofferson. The album features the newly remastered complete original score from the film composed and conducted by Jerry Fielding (The Wild Bunch, Escape from Alcatraz, The Bad News Bears, The Gambler). The CD is now available to purchase on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the full details and listen to audio samples. Grammy Award-winning jazz drummer and composer Antonio Sanchez (Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Get Shorty, Politics, Instructions Manual) has written the original score for the new HBO original documentary series The Anarchists. The show is directed by Todd Schramke and tells the story of “Anarchapulco,” an event that was originally created as a conference held in Acapulco, Mexico, promoting the ideals of pure anarchy. The 6-parter follows individuals engaged in this movement with full access to the drama that ensues as a community tries to live alongside tourists and drug cartels with only the principles of anarchy as their guideposts. ‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 – Volume 2 Soundtrack Album Released

The full track list of the soundtrack album for the fourth season of the Netflix original series Stranger Things have been revealed. The album features the sixteen songs from the first volume of the Season 4 soundtrack, as well as six additional tracks from the final two episodes of the new season: Rock and Roll, Hoochie Koo by Rick Derringer, Fire and Rain by James Taylor, Spellbound by Siouxsie and the Banshees, Master of Puppets by Metallica, When It’s Cold I’d Like to Die by Moby and Steve Perry’s & Bryce Miller’s extended remix of Journey’s & Steve Perry’s Separate Ways (Worlds Apart). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms (including Amazon). The album features the film’s original music composed by Martin Phipps (The Crown, Woman in Gold, The Aftermath, War & Peace, The Honourable Woman, Harry Brown). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The Princess is directed by Ed Perkins, produced by Simon & Jonathan Chinn and shines a light on the private life of a princess and the eventual crisis that spilled throughout the British monarchy following her tragic death in August 19, 1997. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music platforms is the main suite theme Mama’s Got a Brand New Hammer written by Michael Giacchino (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange, Up, Star Trek, Lost, Jurassic World, The Incredibles, Inside Out, The Batman). ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ Soundtrack to Be Released

Amazon Content Services will release a soundtrack album for the Amazon original series The Summer I Turned Pretty. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first season composed by Zachary Dawes (Big Time Adolescence, The Peanut Butter Falcon, There’s Someone Inside Your House, Generation). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 1 and will be available to stream/download here. The Summer I Turned Pretty is created by Jenny Han based on her bestselling book of the same name and stars Lola Tung, Jackie Chung, Christopher Briney, Rachel Blanchard, Gavin Casalegno, Colin Ferguson, Alfredo Narciso, Minnie Mills, Sean Kaufman and Tom Everett Scott. The coming-of-age drama follows an ordinary teenage girl who spends the summer in Cousin’s Beach, where she reunites with her childhood friend and becomes tangled up in a love triangle between him and his brother.
