Disney+ announced today that singer/songwriter Linda Perry (To Leslie, Luckiest Girl Alive, Citizen Penn) has contributed original music to the streamer’s upcoming original series The Muppets Mayhem. She also serves as the executive music producer of the show developed by Adam F. Goldberg (The Goldbergs), Bill Barretta (The Muppets) & Jeff Yorkes based on characters created by Jim Henson and starring Lilly Singh, Tahj Mowry, Saara Chaudry, Barretta himself, Eric Jacobson, Dave Goelz, Peter Linz, Matt Vogel, David Rudman and Anders Holm. Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the French drama My Sole Desire (À mon seul désir). The album features the film’s original score composed by Pierre Desprats (Olga, The Wild Boys, Rouge, Perfect Nanny, The Cow Who Sang a Song Into the Future). Also included are the movie’s original songs by Rebeka Warrior. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Dragon’s Domain Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1981 mini-series The Manions of America created by Agnes Nixon, directed by Charles S. Dubin & Joseph Sargent and starring Pierce Brosnan, Kate Mulgrew, Kathleen Beller, David Soul, Peter Gilmore, Steve Forrest, Nicholas Hammond, Linda Purl, Simon MacCorkindale, Simon Rouse, Barbara Parkins and Anthony Quayle. The album features the original score from the 3-part/6-hour event series composed by Emmy Award winner Morton Stevens (Hawaii Five-O, Gunsmoke, Masada, Wheels). Hollywood Records & Marvel Music have announced the details of the soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The album features seventeen songs by artists including Radiohead, Bruce Springsteen, Earth, Wind and Fire, The Flaming Lips, Florence + The Machine, Heart, The The, Beastie Boys, Alice Cooper, Redbone & others. Premiering in the U.S. today is the Norwegian limited series War Sailor, a new version of last year’s feature of the same title, written and directed by Gunnar Vikene and starring Kristoffer Joner, Pål Sverre Hagen and Ine Marie Wilmann. The show’s original music is composed by Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Lion, Hotel Mumbai, Adrift, The Old Guard). Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score last December. Premiering on Wednesday, April 5, is the Disney+ original series The Crossover created by Kwame Alexander and starring Derek Luke, Jalyn Hall, Amir O’Neil, Sabrina Revelle, Deja Monique Cruz, Skyla I’Lece and Trevor Bush.
