The show is created by Karla Crome based on an original story by Jefferson Bannis and stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Jonny Lee Miller, Sheldon Shepherd, Bel Powley, Nadean Rawlins, Sean Gilder, Olunike Adeliyi, Richard Dillane, Diveen Henry, Jack Bandeira, Shantol Jackson, Jeff Crossley and Safina Simpson. The 5-part thriller directed by Storm Saulter (Better Mus’ Come, Sprinter) follows an ambitious young bi‑racial lawyer who travels to Jamaica to challenge an inheritance claim made by a local man against a wealthy white aristocrat, but the case takes an unsettling turn when she discovers that the disputed estate is the very place that has haunted her nightmares. Crome, Saulter, Mbatha-Raw & Lee Miller are also executive producing the Snowed-In & Sky Studios production with Ruth Kenley-Letts & Neil Blair (Mrs. Wilson, The Midwich Cuckoos), Jenny van der Lande (Joan, You Don’t Know Me), Sam Hoyle (The Day of the Jackal, Mary & George) and Serena Thompson (Landscapers, Domina). Possession will premiere in the UK tomorrow, August 6 on Sky and will also be available to stream on NOW.
