Varèse Sarabande has announced a new collectible picture disc edition of the score album for the 2003 holiday classic Elf directed by Jon Favreau and starring Will Ferrell, James Caan, Mary Steenburgen, Ed Asner, Bob Newhar and Zooey Deschanel. The album, which features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee John Debney (The Passion of the Christ, Iron Man 2, Hocus Pocus, The Jungle Book,The Emperor’s New Groove, Bruce Almighty), will be released on September 25 and is now available for pre-order here. The label has also announced a reissue of the expanded 44-track deluxe edition of the score, which is being released as an Encore Edition and will be available for the first time as a digital album on October 16. Elf is now available on VOD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD.
