The track list for the soundtrack release for the comic book adaptation of The Amazing Spider-Man has been revealed (via JWFAN.com). The album features more than 75 minutes of the film’s original score composed by James Horner. The soundtrack will be released on July 3, 2012 by Sony Classical and is available for pre-order on Amazon. The Amazing Spider-Man is directed by Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) and stars Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as The Lizard. The movie portrays Parker as he is developing his super powers in high school. Martin Sheen, Sally Field and Denis Leary are co-starring. The details of the soundtrack release for Steven Soderbergh’s comedy drama Magic Mike have been revealed. The album features the songs from the film by artists including Alice Russell, Countre Black, Foreigner, The Unknown, Black Daniel, Cloud Control, Joe Tex, Win Win featuring Blaqstarr and Beth Thornley. Toby Chu is scoring the upcoming 3D animated feature Dorothy of Oz. The film is directed by Dan St. Pierre (Everyone’s Hero) & Will Finn (The Road to El Dorado) and features the voice talent of Lea Michele, Hugh Dancy, Megan Hilty, Jim Belushi, Martin Short, Dan Aykroyd, Kelsey Grammer, Oliver Platt, Bernadette Peters and Patrick Stewart. The movie’s story begins where L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz ends and is adapted from the adventure book series written by the author’s great-grandson Roger Stanton-Baum. Bryan Adams has reportedly written original songs for the project. Bonne Radford (Balto, The Road to El Dorado), Roland Carroll and Ryan Carroll are among the film’s producers. Gabriel Yared to Score ‘Therese Raquin’

Gabriel Yared has been hired to score the romantic thriller Therese Raquin. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Charlie Stratton and stars Elizabeth Olsen, Jessica Lange and Tom Felton. The movie is based on a novel by Emile Zala and follows a sexually repressed woman who is trapped in a loveless marriage to her cousin who has an affair with her husband’s childhood friend. The story takes place in 1860s Paris. William Horberg and Mickey Liddell (The Grey, Everwood) are producing the Wonderful Films and Liddell Entertainment production. Yared has previously collaborated with Horberg on Anthony Minghella’s The Talented Mr. Ripley and Cold Mountain. Varese Sarabande Records has announced the details of the soundtrack release for HBO’s drama Hemingway & Gellhorn. The album features the original score from the film written by Academy Award-nominated composer Javier Navarrete (Pan’s Labyrinth, Wrath of the Titans). Also included is the song Ay Carmela performed by both Voces Del Pueblo and Alarcon. The soundtrack will be released on June 12, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Hemingway & Gellhorn is directed by Philip Kaufman and stars Clive Owen, Nicole Kidman, David Strathairn, Parker Posey, Rodrigo Santoro, Molly Parker, Lars Ulrich, Peter Coyote, Diane Baker and Tony Shalhoub. The film tells the story of the romance between Ernest Hemingway and WWII correspondent Martha Gellhorn, Hemingway’s inspiration for For Whom the Bell Tolls. John Corigliano’s Rejected ‘Edge of Darkness’ Score Released

Perseverance Records has announced the premiere release of John Corigliano‘s rejected score for the 2010 thriller Edge of Darkness. The album, entitled Music from the Edge, features the unused score from the film composed by the Academy Award-winning composer whose other film scores include The Red Violin and Altered States. Howard Shore ended up replacing the composer on the film and his score was released on WaterTower Music. To order the release and to listen to audio clips, click here. Christian Henson is the composer of the upcoming adventure series Sinbad. The show stars Elliot Knight as the title character who is thrown out of Basra with a curse on him for having killed a man and, unable to spend more than 24 hours on land, embarks on an quest to rid himself of the curse. The cast also includes Naveen Andrews (Lost), Sophie Okoendo (Hotel Rwanda) and Timothy Spall (Harry Potter, The King’s Speech). The 13-part series is produced by Impossible Pictures, the production company behind Primeval. The album entitled Famous For Killing Each Other features songs from and inspired by the series performed by Kevin Costner & Modern West.
