A behind-the-scenes video featurette on the music for the comedy drama Thanks for Sharing has been published. The video features an interview with composer Christopher Lennertz (Identity Thief, NBC’s Revolution) who performs one of the score’s theme on piano and talks about creating the score and the choice of instrumentation. Check out the video after the jump. Milan Records has released two soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s score, as well as the songs from the film. Thanks for Sharing directed by Stuart Blumberg and starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Ruffalo, Tim Robbins, Josh Gad, Joely Richardson, Patrick Fugit and Alecia Moore/Pink opens in theaters today.

Christopher Lennertz to Score ‘Thanks for Sharing’
Christopher Lennertz has taken over scoring duties on the indie comedy drama Thanks for Sharing. The film marks the directorial debut of Stuart Blumberg who has received an Academy Award nomination for co-writing the screenplay for 2010’s The Kids Are All Right. Mark Ruffalo, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim Robbins, Joely Richardson, Patrick Fugit, Josh Gad and Alecia Moore are starring in the movie, which revolves around a group of unlikely friends in a 12-step program for recovering sex addicts in New York City. Blumberg shares writing credit with actor Matt Winston. The dramedy is produced by Olympus Pictures’ Leslie Urdang, Dean Vanech & Miranda de Pencier (Beginners) who previously worked with Lennertz on the 2009 drama Adam starring Hugh Dancy and Rose Byrne.

Craig Wedren is scoring the upcoming indie comedy drama Thanks for Sharing. The film marks the directorial debut of Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Stuart Blumberg (The Kids Are All Right) and stars Mark Ruffalo, Gwyneth Paltrow, Tim Robbins, Joely Richardson, Patrick Fugit, Josh Gad and Alecia Moore. The movie revolves around a group of unlikely friends who are brought together through their shared determination to recover from sex addiction and forge meaningful relationships for the first time in their lives. Blumberg co-wrote the screenplay with actor Matt Winston.
