Trevor Morris to Score The CW’s ‘Reign’

reignTrevor Morris has been hired to score the upcoming CW drama Reign. The show is created by Laurie McCarthy (Ghost Whisperer) and stars Adelaide Kane, Toby Regbo, Torrance Coombs, Megan Follows, Alan Van Sprang, Celina Sinden, Caitlin Stasey, Anna Popplewell and Jenessa Grant. The series tells the previously unknown story of Mary Queen of Scots’ rise to power when she arrives in France as a 15-year-old, betrothed to Prince Francis, and with her three best friends as ladies-in-waiting. McCarthy is executive producing the Warner Bros Television and CBS Television Studios production with Frank Siracusa (Beauty and the Beast). The album features the film’s original score composed by Evgueni and Sacha Galperine (The Family, Eva). the-goldbergsMichael Wandmacher is the composer of the upcoming ABC comedy The Goldbergs. The show is created by Adam F. Goldberg and stars Wendi McLendon-Covey, Jerr Garlin, George Segal, Hayley Orrantia, Sean Giambrone and Troy Gentile. The series is set in the 80s and centers on an in-your-face mother and hot-tempered father who love their three eccentric kids so much, they can’t bear to see them grow up. Goldberg is also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television and Happy Madison production with Doug Robinson (Rules of Engagement). The album features the film’s original score composed by Ludwig Goransson (Community, New Girl, 30 Minutes or Less). Also included are the songs from the film by artists including The Jacka, Cellski, Peezy Mar Keyes, William Peoples, Noah Coogler, Mistah F.A.B., Johnny Ca$h and Phillip Henderson. The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 24, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A physical version will be coming out on October 22 (click here to order the CD). The film tells the true story of Oscar Grant, a young black man detained on New Year’s Day 2009 by the Bay Area Rapid Transit police and shot in the back and killed. PilotJeff Russo and Ben Decter are scoring the upcoming serialized CBS drama Hostages. The show is created by Jeffrey Nachmanoff (Traitor, writer of The Day After Tomorrow) and stars Toni Collette as a premiere surgeon who is thrust into a chilling political conspiracy when her family is taken hostage by rogue FBI Agent, played by Dylan McDermott, who orders her to assassinate the President when she operates on him. Tate Donovan, Rhys Coiro, Billy Brown, Sandrine Holt, James Naughton, Quinn Shephard and Mateus Ward are co-starring. Nachmanoff has also directed the pilot episode and is executive producing the Warner Bros Television production with Jerry Bruckheimer & Jonathan Littman (CSI, Without a Trace), Omri Givon, Rotem Shamir and Chayim Sharir. The album features the film’s original score composed by Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, Dark Skies) who previously scored the first part of the series. The movie based on the novel All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka is set in the near future when an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault and follows an officer who finds himself reliving his last day over and over after being killed.
